I had a small salad spinner with a green lid in another brand name. It was “just okay.” It took me 3-4 batches to help get rid of the “some” of the water, after I rinsed and drained the water away from a head of Romaine that had been cut into thirds. Plus, I still had to blot and dry it myself, so nothing was looking for a larger size to save time with the drying process because my lettuce still had water on it after spinning awhile. Then, for the first time I noticed there was a large KitchenAid one on Amazon! I didn’t even know KitchenAid made them! It was a lot more expensive than the other kinds with the green lids, but I own several KitchenAid small and large appliances, and I’ve never had a single complaint. Finally, I decided I didn’t anything to lose in buying it because of Amazon’s superior return policy. After I received it, I was pleasantly surprised by its huge size. When I again cut up my romaine into thirds, I was shocked that I was able to easily get all of it inside with room to spare! It was when I pumped it up several times that I was completely blown away!!! It kept spinning and spinning and spinning as if it had its own motor and was plugged into electricity!!!!! OMGosh!! I pumped it up again, even more this time, and it spun even 3-4 times longer than the first time!! I didn’t think it was ever going to stop spinning! Of course, I could have easily stopped the spinning manually, but why would I want to do that?? I was having a blast!!! When it eventually stopped spinning, I emptied out so much more water than I ever had with that other smaller kind. At this point I couldn’t help but pump it up one more time. I let it spin like a top, walked away, and continued preparing supper. When it stopped again, there was very little water left outside its basket. I dumped out my Romaine and it only had a few drops of water left on all of my romaine lettuce put together!!! I am soo impressed and happy with this amazing KitchenAid product! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this salad spinner to everyone, because it saves time and it works so well. Yes, it does cost more money, but it is worth every single penny!!! 🥬 👍👍👍

I bought this to replace one that broke and now I wish I would have bought it way sooner! It is very well made and sturdy!

It is a decent sized salad spinner that works really well. We use it all the time for salads and other dishes. Cilantro and Green Onions spin in this very easily. The only negative we have is that it doesn't seem like the top (red) section can be disassembled to be cleaned. It doesn't really ever need to be cleaned and it can be wiped with a paper towel if it does it wet. Just would like an option to make sure that is could be cleaned internally since it is work with food.

The time this product saves me when prepping for a salad and washing my fruits and veggies is amazing. My husband and I want to both us the salad spinner because its fun and easy to use.

I was impressed at the quality of this salad spinner as I had been disappointed with the quality of other brands. Nice and thick bowl doesn't feel like it's gonna crack at any time as my previous experience with other brands. I like the locking top to help with storage of unit. Once spun, this spinner keeps spinning and the brake helps with deceleration of the unit! I would highly recommend this salad spinner.

This product exceeds expectations in all areas. It's well-made and seems very sturdy. The handle goes inside and holds well for storage. It's effortless to clean. Most importantly, it works wonderfully at drying salads.

This little jewel is great. You can rinse the greens right in the bowl. Pour out the excess water and spin away. It leaves no water at all on the greens. Love that the plunger locks down for storage.
