DUNLOPSportmax GPR-300 Sport Front Motorcycle Tire - 120/70ZR17

I use this tire on my R1200RT BMW. And it performs well well.

Mounted it myself which is a first for me. Did it in the grass with nothing but elbow grease and two line up pins. Didn’t even need a tire iron. It beaded up perfectly with low air pressure and without removing the valve core (I don’t even have a valve core removing tool.) I would definitely buy one of these again, for how easy it went on and the quality I wouldn’t mind going with these for good. It ain’t no Goodyear but it’s a sweet tire. I can’t wait to break it in

These replaced the stock Michelin Road 5's on my Triumph Trident 660. Road 5's are 2x the price for replacements, the GPR300's appeared to be the perfect price/quality compromise. Frankly, I cannot feel any difference on the GPR300's which came as a shock at first. Mind you i'm no squid, I'm still making payments on the bike and my riding style heavily reflects that big time ; ) If your like me and refuse to play Russian roulette with off brand Chinese rubber, these are the next best thing!

Rain update: Minus 1 star. Do NOT trail-brake in the rain! It slips when you moderately load up the front AND try to turn in. Scrub all your speed off *before* you even turn in. And make sure to load the rear all the time while leaned in. Slide your butt back, or gently accelerate - whatever you do, do not decelerate while leaning on wet roads.Rear tire is fine, but front isn't for wet asphalt.Update 1: 1500+ miles on these tires so far. No regrets. Tires are very sensitive to pressures & temps. So make sure you find your sweet spot for a given day and the given ambient temp. For me, on a 70 deg day, about 34 psi R and 35 psi F. These tires are very communicative. If your suspension settings are off, you'll notice immediately. So first make sure your preloads & dampings are good. Grip levels are amazing at this price point. I have no issues leaning. No chicken strips left on the rear tire. At right pressures and right temps, with well-tuned suspension, you can lean all the way to get rid of chicken strips confidently. But be careful, on a hot day, your pressures will be higher, makes the tires over sensitive and twitchy. So change your pressures accordingly. There seems to be a very narrow operating window for best handling.Original:Just got back from my first ride of the season, and the first on these tires, on a 600cc sport bike (R6). Previously I had Michelin Pilot Power 2CT tires. Because of price (and a strange non-linear feeling from the dual compounds), I decided not to get my usual choice, and I got these Dunlops instead.Air temperature is mid 50s. These tires are very good! Same level of grip as my previous 2CT tires. I haven't pushed them to the limit yet, but at 36 psi, they were very predictable and confidence-inspiring. I should have gone with lower psi, hindsight. I don't track the bike, so I don't need insane 60+ deg lean angle grips.No idea about longevity or wet grip. But for this price, I'll be happy even if they last half the life of 2CTs.

This front tire was installed into my 2020 Suzuki GSX-S1000F and put 3,715 miles to date. I had Dunlop Road Smart 3 on rear but for some reason couldn't find a front tire to match the rear tire. So, i tried Kenda KM1 tire but had to return after 600 miles due to wobble at high speed. The available tire based on my price point was the Dunlop Sportmax GPR300. Never had Sportmax GPR300 before and used mostly Dunlop Road Smart 3 or 4. Will see if this tire lasted near or close to Road Smart 4 or 3 ~ 10,000 - 12,000. So far, i don't see any downside to the GPR300 and it seems a worthwhile candidate for an alternative to the Dunlop Road Smart 3.

Bought a used 2007 Yamaha R1 and these were on the bike already but the front needed to be changed out badly so since the rear still had 3/4's of life left I bought a new front one same everything and I'm very satisfied with these tires, very sticky when heated and haven't riden in the rain yest so can't tell you about that. But for a touring tire she does as well as my 2ct pilot powers but I think I will definitely get more miles out these tires as well. Some will love some will hate because we all want different things in our tires but for me these are great so far so I do recommend.

A good tire, it grips fits a ‘06 Zx-636R stock rim.
