My main purpose for this purchase was to alert me if someone is coming in the door while I'm asleep. It's loud enough to wake you up but not loud enough to be annoying during the normal in and out traffic.

This bell is so cheery and uniquely exquisite. I put it on the back door just for the heck of it and it creates such a pleasant little chime every time I let the dog out.
