Bought for my wife who wears a UK size 6 shoe. I bought similar in UK size 9.The fit was spot on in both pairs. They are so comfortable and very nicely made.With a lifetime guarantee, what's not to like. We will definitely be buying some crew and knee length for the autunm and winter.A bit on the steep side for a pair of socks (even merino) but all of the above make it worth the extra.

I was worried wearing them in the sandy desert. But my feet never overheated. I hate the toe seam on most socks. This was not a problem. These did not rub on my toes nor did they pinch my toes.

These socks last forever. If I ever wear out a pair, (like by running a marathon in socks only), I can just take them to the Darn Tuff store in the Mammoth Lakes, CA ski resort and turn them in for a new pair.Mainly, these socks are simply comfortable. I've hiked and backpacked many miles in these socks, and I can't remember getting a blister while wearing them. The heavy hiking socks I like are thick, padded in the right places, and fit me perfectly. I got rid of all my other socks, and now I only buy and wear Darn Tuff-s, nothing else.
