I have a taller one of these that is for reaching my roof, but it is pretty heavy. This one is shorter and lighter and compact enough to bring in the car when I use the roof rack. In fact, it would work well extended part way and strapped down on top of other items on the roof rack. My other primary use is to use it leaned against the car or other structure to hang a lightweight solar panel off, so I can get a good angle. I use either a portable folding solar panel, a flex panel, or a CIGS panel, with grommets, and my MODL Infinity Tools with the hook studs to fasten the panel to the ladder. I might consider getting another ladder so I can hang solar panels across the two, thereby being able to hang two or possibly three at a time, by using a carabiner to clip the two panels together at the grommets.

I was going to return this because I wouldn't trust it as a tactical ladder. My father uses it now for beekeeping and it works fine.

This thing is a BEAST! Massive aluminum tubes resulting in a confidence building rigidity. The only downside is this is no lightweight when it comes to handling it. Also you do need to pay attention when releasing the steps when collapsing the ladder as they do drop quickly and with considerable force due to the beefy construction. If you are looking for a tall, very stable, collapsable ladder, I highly recommend this one

Easy to handle, a little heavy but works well

I'm a bit torn on this one.On one hand it's pretty light so someone who's 5'-nothing and 100lb can carry it no problem.It's also really easy to extend and collapse, and store.The only issue I have with it is it's pretty bendy if you put it up against a wall at a sufficient enough angle to where you don't feel like you're gonna fall over backwards. It's a little sketch. And again, I'm only 100lb. I don't particularly think that it will snap under me, but if I were someone bigger I would definitely be worried.
