Talens Art Creation Sketchbook 80 Sheets, 13 cm x 21 cm, Pastel Violet

A lovely little sketch pad with thick paper. I've bought previous ones and the pages are so thin everything just bleeds through. But that's not that case for this sketchbook. It's great value for money!

The value for money is just unbeatable! Great work by talens providing a nice quality sketchbook of a decent paper weight, with a tonne of pages!! It is best suited to pen/ink or mixed media drawing/paintings but would take a light wash of watercolour as well. Please be mindful the paper is NOT intended for watercolours .Also, I love the variety of colours and sizes.I would totally recommend I have several and will continue to buy/use:)

It's prefect for what I need it for. Works well with every media I've used so far. Doesn't like watercolour much, but after all it's not watercolour paper.

These were recommended to me for pen and ink sketches. The paper is surprisingly good for the modest cost of this sketchbook with ink and dry media. However like all the mixed media papers I've tried it won't cope with proper watercolour. All though they all seem to list being suitable for watercolour, none of the ones I have tried cope well with wet. If you want one that does I am afraid you are going to have to bite the bullet and pay twice as much as this for one designed for watercolour. ( I like the cellulose Hahnemuhle ones as effective but quite reasonably priced.)Luckily, being aware of this, I wasn't disappointed and felt that this was good value for money for my purposes. A good all rounder but don't get it too wet.

This is my first time buying this brand of sketchbook but for the price I'm amazed at the quality of the paper. It's very smooth thick paper, the binding on the sketchbook is a little stiff but maybe over time with use it will soften out. The only thing is I didn't check for the paper colour and it's very much a strong cream with almost lemon tint when I normally use off white. It won't put me off buying again though, just have to bear it in mind when using it.

Wonderful sketch books, a great price for a good quality book.The choice of colours and the feel of the outside of the book make me really want to pick it up for some art work.

Very nice sketchbook with thick pages to create art on. However was a bit disappointed that the pages were ivory coloured rather than white as expected. Also it was quite expensive but its good nonetheless.
