This cushion folds in half so it travels well to use on bleachers or in a car or plane seat. It is very comfortable and has the option to be used cold or heated. I have gifted it to others who have had sciatica or issues with sitting for any length of time, and they have all got relief with it.

Love this lava buns! Definitely my best friend in cold weather and it’s easy to bring it anywhere!

We just started ‘ice rink viewing’ and after an hour it starts to get COLD! as you look on. We did the norm - sit on a blanket, towel or even newspaper. I purchase a Lava Buns as a gift for my wife. She loves it and won’t share! It does cool off in <1.5hrs if you are putting the pad on metal set (it is having to heat you and the set). I assume a little more insolation on the bottom would be good. To correct for this we just put it on a towel. At this point, our max ‘ice rink viewing’ has been 2.5hrs and with the Lava Buns on a towel it was still good warm. When we get home I use it to thaw my feet. We micro for 2 mins. on each side. We also have a metal rack in our oven/microwave and we place it on this. In error, the first ~20 time I headed pad and element at the same time (as stated on the pad not to do). I have yet to see an issue. I ordered another on today.

No USB plugs, no cords. This heated seat has a core you place in the microwave for 2 minutes to generate the heat. It stays hot, or at least fairly warm for 3 to 4 hours, enough time for most sports events. You can also put the core in the freezer overnight to have a "cold seat" for those hot summer sports events.I bought this to replace a 30-year-old similar product that was lost when it was left it in a restaurant. The core of the lava buns is similar to my old product; however, the seat does not have as much padding. This does not seem to make a significant difference. I was very pleased to find this as i get tired of plugging things in and waiting hours for them to recharge.Take a page from the past and leave the cord behind! Your warm tushy will thank you!

My son is on Marching Band and I attend all of the games and competitions that he competes in. I HATE to be cold so I went on a search at the beginning of the season for something like this. I knew what I wanted, but I wanted to be sure to pick a product that had good reviews and was reasonably priced....this is it!! I transport them in an insulated tote bag that I purchased from Costco. I have two Lava Buns and I put them in the bag with a blanket nestled between them so when I get cold, I have a toasty warm seat AND a toasty warm blanket! Taking travel time into consideration, I have kept these closed up on the bag for 4 hours before using them and they are still VERY warm! Once they hit the cold air, they only stay warm for a couple of hours though. I love this product and I recommend it on a weekly basis to all of the cold parents sitting in the stands with me.

I have used a LavaBuns Seat Cushion for 5 years with no problem, the inner core (replaceable) finally gave out this year. I placed an order for a core replacement, which leaked immediately on first use. Very surprising and disappointing. Next I ordered a complete new unit with core and outer shell, it also leaked upon first use. I suspect some problems in supplier manufacturing of the core. Aside from this, I have thoroughly liked my experience with the Lava Buns heated Seat cushion, and would give it another chance if remedies were implemented.

I received one of these as a gift. I honestly did not think I would be using very much. My wife was the first to try it out at our daughters soccer game. She heated it on both sides for the amount of time it required. I did not think it would do much since it was close to an hour before she would even be able to use it. When she unfolded it, it was still hot. Not warm, Hot! The heat provided was the perfect solution to the terribly cold aluminum bleacher seats. Additionally, they are more than just warm they make the hard seats like sitting on a nice pillow. I immediately ordered 3 more of these. One for myself, since the wife was not giving this one up and 2 for the grandparents so I wouldn't feel guilty being super warm and so comfortable on those cold miserable stadium seats.
