I love this fountain! I have (don't judge) 17 fountains throughout my home and realized when doing maintenance yesterday that the Alpine fountains I have are the best quality. Every one I've purchased has a quiet pump and functions perfectly. I got one with a missing pump, cord, etc. but that was the way Amazon shipped it, obviously opened/used, and it still worked after Alpine supplied the missing parts. I've returned or tossed other brands that consistently have a very loud "buzz" when operating, but every Alpine is running smoothly after a year or so running constantly. About this particular Alpine fountain: It's pretty, it has some water flow sound but not overly so. I can see where the finish might fade with time, but after 7 months it's still intact. Love it, love the company!

This is a junk product. Lowest quality materials. Pump either flows too much and shoots out of the bowl or it's a tiny trickle. I got the right flow, once. Even then the way the water flows there is no water sound. Bowl is cheap plastic. Pump is useless. And the upper part of the feature has a terrible paint job. It was out of the box 30 minutes. It's going back. Save your time and money. Shop elsewhere.

atmosphere and relaxing

The metal flower and plate sits VERY awkwardly in the vase/bowl. There is no spot for the cord to come out, so it has to sit in between the plate and the bowl. You HAVE to put most of the rocks on the right side or else the whole thing tips to the left. Also, after about a week, the water turns an awful yellow color (im assuming from the copper covering) so it needs changed frequently. My husband purchased this NEW but when we received it, the whole box and Styrofoam was torn to PIECES and taped back together. It looked as if someone else recieved it, ripped it open, shoved it all back in there however, and sent it back and they resold it. He was NOT happy. Also, you can't have it on the highest setting or it literally pours water everywhere outside of the fountain. Cute, but the quality is not worth how much he bought it for.

Worked for a couple months and stopped. Really disappointing.

My husband had to replace/ modify a tube underneath so water would flow. It works fine now.

the look of this fountain is great for a tabletop. I have had tabletop fountains before. My table is a valued wood piece and I did not want any water misshaps. Sure, I would love to have the "gurgling" sound but that means your water stream is doing some splash. Had some droplets on the table every time I ran the fountain. I took all of the rocks away from the final landing zone of the water to just let it hit the copper splash pan. Only an inch or so of clearance was enough so that the stream had a soft landing. I can forget it and still good.

We bought this thinking it would look nice in our living room. Our cats discovered it and just love it. However, the fountain stops working at least once a week, requiring some dome of adjustment on the pump. It’s dead now and we bought it in December.
