Fine Powder w/ Subtle Luminous (Not Sparkly) Finish That’s Great My Dry, Mature Skin
I have dry, sensitive and mature skin (55+) and tend to use loose powder, but as I age I’m finding that loose powder can accentuate my lines. I’m getting better results using a modest dusting of this talc free Lune+Aster SuperStar Translucent Pressed Powder after applying my makeup. This can be applied with a brush or puff (not included). This comes in a modest rather than luxury compact with a nice sized mirror.I use a brush and it picks up less powder than when I use my usual loose powder, but I’m finding that “less is more.” A modest dusting with a fluffy brush is enough to do a great job setting my makeup (even under my eyes) without leaving noticeable residue. This is sheer, fine and lightly moisturizing, and it’s a light beige shade that looks colorless on my skin but leaves just a slight luminous (yet not shiny) finish. This powder works well for my dry, mature skin as I like skincare and makeup that make my skin more radiant and toning it down with matte powder can ruin that effect. This isn’t sparkly and the luminous effect is so subtle on me, but I can’t say how this would be for someone with oily skin who wants a totally matte look. But I’m really pleased with how this powder works for me. Love it. 5 stars. Made in Italy.

Liking it
I am liking it so far. Not too heavy for me. With it being translucent, it is a good match for me as I am pretty pale and many products aren't a good match. I'd say that luminous is a good description for it as it provides a subtle glow. Seems like it might last me a while

Not as Smoothing as I’d Hoped
This powder was a bit of a “meh” for me. The case looks quite sleek, but gets covered in fingerprints quickly. There wasn’t much inside to hold the product in during transit (no seal, only one unattached plastic piece), so the powder had broken and fallen out of the compact by the time I received it. I was able to put the pieces back in. The powder itself felt grainy and a bit gritty when applied compared to other powder I’ve used. I used my own brush, and it went on ok -- it mattes up the foundation and worked ok for setting lipstick, but it did seem to settle in creases (not exactly the smoothing effect I was hoping for). For a basic powder, it’s fine, but not exceptional.

Not for me
This powder is very difficult to pick up with a brush. It took a lot of swirling and tapping to get any kind of payload on the bristles. The powder had a very subtle shimmer. It did not seem to set my makeup at all, and immediately settled into the creases around my nose and beneath my eyes. I have a hard pass on this one.

Powder is AMAZING, compact cheap, flimsy, & mirrored so tons of fingerprints
This comes in an outer product box. It’s made in Italy. Ingredients are on packaging. It’s talc free, gluten free, paraben free, phthalate free, cruelty free, and vegan. It comes in a square, silver, mirrored compact. I hate mirrored compacts because they get fingerprints all over them no matter how hard I try not to! While it looks really pretty and higher end, it doesn’t feel like it. It’s plastic, very lightweight. At the price of $34, I kind of expected better packaging. But, it feels no different than the Charlotte Tilbury powder, which also has a mirrored compact (but gold and oval shaped) but it’s plastic and lightweight feeling too, which surprised me when I first got it since it cost $46. Plus, with this you get 10g of powder and with the Charlotte Tilbury you only get 8g of powder. It has clasp closure. There’s a mirror in the lid. There’s no sponge/brush included.I LOVE it! I have normal to dry skin, more on the dry side with some extremely dry areas. I struggle finding powders I can use all over my face, but especially in my extremely dry areas like under my eyes. Most of the time I try to just avoid using powder except where I get oily throughout the day like around my nose. But, there’s some powders I’ve found that I do like all over my skin and this is definitely one of them!I saw a few reviews complaining that it’s hard to pick up with a brush and they couldn’t get much powder payoff on their brushes. I always felt I was supposed to make sure the powder was on my brush/puff and then apply it to my face. But, a while back I heard something from a few MUAs and have been doing it ever since and it was a game changer for me with powder. With a powder, you’re not supposed to see the powder on the brush/puff when you go to apply it. If you’re using a brush, apply the powder to the brush, then tap off the excess. Tap it off a bunch of times until you no longer see any powder and then lightly dust the brush over your face. If you’re using a puff, pick up the powder on the puff then fold the puff in half and kind of press the 2 halves together to work the powder INTO the puff until you no longer see it (it’s still there, but you’ve evened it out and gotten rid of excess) then press it into your skin. I’ve found using a puff works best because I can see what’s left on the puff easier. This has helped me so much! I don’t end up looking powdery or dry, but get the good effects of the powder! With this powder, it’s so finely milled (if you pick some up with your fingers, it feels so silky smooth and extremely thin), so I can see why some people said it’s hard to pick up on a brush. I never pick up too much powder with this! Even if I really swirl my puff around in it or dig my brush in it, I still don’t get a ton of powder like I would with any other pressed powder I’ve tried. It picks up enough where it gets the job done and that’s it. I lightly swipe my puff on it, then I work the powder into the puff, and then I press it into my skin. It looks beautiful. It doesn’t look dry or powdery or cakey. It doesn’t look heavy. It doesn’t even look like I’ve applied powder BUT it reduces my shine, sets my makeup, and reduces the look of my pores while leaving a very SUBTLE natural finish. It isn’t matte but it also isn’t glowy or luminous. It just gives a kind of natural finish to the skin where it doesn’t look like I’ve applied powder, it just looks like healthy skin. I was a little confused as to what the finish of this powder would be because the description says the powder is formulated with “pearlescent pigments to create a perfected, luminous look.” BUT, then under “Benefits” it says “creates a mattifying finish on skin.” I wouldn’t agree with either of those. I don’t think it gives a luminous look or a mattifying look. It gives a natural finish - not glowy, not matte, just a natural finish. This is translucent so it’s supposed to work on all skin tones. I didn’t feel it had any color to it at all, but I am pretty fair skinned. It doesn’t provide any coverage at all, but I didn’t expect it to since it’s translucent. If you want a powder with some kind of coverage, you need to go with one that has color to it and even then they don’t usually provide much coverage but will give a hint of coverage. So, if you’re looking for something with coverage, this isn’t it.Overall, I LOVE this powder! It truly is weightless like they claimed. It sets makeup in place, reduces shine, and minimizes my pores without looking like I’ve applied powder at all! No dry, powdery, or cakey look. It leaves a natural finish to the skin - not matte, not glowy. It’s impossible to apply too much of this powder! I don’t like the compact it comes in. It works fine, but I hate mirrored packaging because it gets fingerprints everywhere and I feel like this feels kind of cheap and flimsy for the price point. But, the powder inside makes up for it, so I’d definitely recommend trying it out if you’re looking for a lightweight, translucent powder that’ll set your makeup, reduce shine, and minimize pores without looking like you’ve applied powder at all!

Nice product, but hard to pick up with a brush
The Lune+Aster SuperStar Translucent Pressed Powder comes in a gorgeous package! The compact is chrome and just like a mirror. You will leave some fingerprints behind on it, but that doesn't bother me. The only issue I encountered with this powder was that it was somewhat difficult to pick up on my brush to apply to my face. It works great as a setting powder, though! It is super lightweight and leaves your face with a nice, healthy glow.

Good Product
This review is for Lune+Aster SuperStar Translucent Pressed Powder - The ultimate universal talc-free translucent pressed powder with vitamin E, licorice and apple seed extract.I like that it's sheer. Great for touch-ups and works well over make-up.

Exaggerates wrinkles
The design on the product is beautiful and the mirror is great as well. I’m not a big fan of the packaging because I can see all the fingerprints. The fallout is minimal and I don’t see a white cast. It left a nice finish on my skin after using setting spray. This works well for setting the majority of my face besides my under eyes and smile lines. Basically, this worked for the areas where I don’t already have natural creases🤷🏻♀️
