Easy install
Easy install between studs. Took about a half hour to get installed. Very low profile which makes it easily coverable by a picture frame. I turned the trays upside down so it hold everything alittle better.

Will NOT fit US homes with Standard 16 inch on Center Studs
I wish I had read the 1 star reviews.... This safe will not fit US homes which are build with studs 16 inches on Center. There is only 14.5 inches BETWEEN studs, and this safe is 15.7 inches. It SEEMS like it will fit if you think studs are 16 inches apart, but the are not - they are 16 inches apart on center. I can't use this without having to tilt it side ways and do some additional carpentry within my walls. Very frustrating.

Rough Opening?
The product Description doesn't match the specs. But either way, both are wrong. Seller has to get this description right. My wall safe just showed up, now I have to go run out to the construction site and re-frame the rough opening. Thank Heaven we haven't installed Drywall yet. (Thats next week!) My suggestion is to buy this long in advance of framing the opening. I know better than to trust an Amazon description. 😆The RO. For the wall safe I recieved needs to be 14 1/2" x 20 1/4". This will give you an extra 1/8" all the way around after install.Writing this on 6-30-2024.Attached photos are the back of the safe. Measuring for my Rough OpeningYour Welcome.Seller, take note. The one thing the buyers need to know for a recessed cabinet is what size hole to frame.Thanks.Cabinet quality is great. GOOD AND HEAVY BOX
I LIKE THE WARNING HIGH VOLTAGE LABEL SUPPLIED BUT NOT SHOWN IN THE DISPLAY AD.THE LOCK IS CHEAP AND WILL PROBY NOT STAND UPTO A THIEFS SCREWDRIVER, BUT PERHAPS THE HIGH VOLTAGE LABEL WILL KEEP HIM/HER FROM TRYING.

Box is heavy metal which is nice
The lock is not as strong as what I expected but I worked with it

Fitted my studs perfectly
Used in master guest bedroom alcove behind a door and oil painting, great for passports checks cards and cash. Easy to install I drilled the front face at the corners too and added 4 extra screw in studs.
