So simple to put up
While most people don't see the poles, and more the drapes. It works great, easy to hang. Color is hidden, but looks good. It's supportive and strong. It is stable and gives enough tension so your not fighting to close curtains.

Sturdy outdoor rod
This sturdy outdoor curtain rod is easy to install and looks great. The extension piece slides into both ends, making it durable and easy to adjust. A middle mounting bracket supports the rod to keep it level.

Fairly appealing curtain rod mired by awkward installation
The curtain rod itself works well, it's very sturdy and easy to assemble and disassemble. There are two ends of the rod, one with a smaller diameter than the other and to mount it you simply put each end of the curtain on each piece of the rod and then slide them together. I have the rod set to about 40 inches and the curtain has no chance of falling.Installation is not as easy as it should be. As you can see from the pictures, the top screw hole is not accessible in a straight line from the front of the mount: the curtain rod hook gets in the way. This makes inserting the top screw on the hook difficult since it must be done at an angle. This normally isn't much of a problem, but the screws themselves are very poor quality. I easily stripped the top screw while drilling it in at an angle I mounted the hooks directly into some studs, so I did not use the drywall screws, but they also seemed to be pretty cheap and poor quality. If purchasing this curtain rod, I would recommend purchasing your own screws and drywall hooks, at least for the top screw holes. For reference the mount screws are ~1/8" (that was the size of the drill bit I used when pre-drilling the stud holes).Good curtain rod and hooks, but installation with provided hardware was awkward. The product could easily be improved by extending the base of the mount by about an inch to provide easy and direct access to the screw holes.

Great outdoor curtain rod
Great curtain rod. I used it on my outdoor patio. Only complaint, box damaged and missing a final and the other was broken, but was able to glue the piece back on. Used the plastic end piece cover on the other end.

You get what you pay for...
The rod itself is great and functions/looks great overall. The mounting hardware is terrible. I've bought many kinney products and they still refuse to fix this issue. The screws are made of the worst possible metal and will round out immediately if there is any resistance on the screw. I have plenty of quality screws to use instead, but I'm sure most buyers won't and don't want to make a trip to the hardware store to make this work.In addition to that, the hangers are poorly designed. There's no reason they can't provide the clearance to run the screws in straight. Instead, they make the hook directly in front of the top screw, making it necessary that you run the screws in at an angle to make it work.
