The green color is not the same hue as the photos on Amazon
Updated as of 24 AUG 2017. I changed to a five star rating. I will leave my initial thoughts when I first received the knife. I must admit, this little fellow has won me over. It has stayed sharp no matter how much I use it. And I am a knife junkie. But this one has become my number one go to knife. I don't utilize it as a neck knife because I never get use to have that lanyard around my neck, but I have a feeling this would be hands down the best neck knife one could wear. I have EDC this knife in my front pocket. The perfect sheath has kept the knife secure and no issues or worries about it accidently coming out as causing some mayhem for me. To the manufacturers of this knife, well done. Well done indeed. I am a convert and now I understand why so many five star ratings. Again, I will leave my original whiny review, mainly to contrast the difference in actually using this knife and just looking at it. I plan to buy a couple more (just not the green color one).I write this "review", 104 customers have already reviewed this knife and overwhelmingly have given this knife a 5.0 rating. I wish I could as well, but my initial recaction was massive disappointment in the ugly color of this tiny little knife; it is so much smaller than I had expected despite the reviews pointing out this obvious attribute and also noting the measurements listed in the product description. This knife was more of an impulse buy and to be honest, influenced a little bit by the thought that any product that has almost close 100 people consistently giving 5 star reviews, this knife must be worth checking out and it was under $20. But the biggest influence was noticing the bright, rich colored handle. A color that would help me spot the knife if I set I down (a less than 5 inch knife can disappear easily). So I went with the hunter green version on the Amazon website. I was very surprised when the package arrived (on time and no complaints there, thank you Amazon) and the knife's box looked tiny but that's okay cause I wanted a small EDC fixed blade so I did not care about the size... But the bait-n-switch color. The "army green" description should be changed to "latrine brown". I will upload photos of the "green" knife juxtaposed against the advertised color. Can't decide if it is English pea green, snot green, or newborn baby poop green. On the plus side, the poo color handled knife came extremely sharp, which was nice since the time little bitty blade is an inch of cutting surface. I am sure it is a great, quality neck knife at an affordable price point, i just wish it did not look like a stool sample. Why couldn't I have got the nice, hunter green color handled version like on amazons site and not this ugly one that looks like what I have to clean up when I take my dog for a walk through the neighborhood. Don't buy the green handle knife. Buy any other color. Otherwise people will wonder why you are carrying a turd in your pocket or wearing feces on a chain around your neck. If you decide you must have the worldest smallest knife, go with the black one. They don't seem to have an issue with false advertising that color. Really wish I got whatever knife the other 100 5-star reviewers got.Okay two days later after writing my initial review, I must admit, the knife is excellent (except for the ugly color) , the sheath is perfect (except for the ugly color), and the thing has grown on me (except for the ugly color). I am surprised at how much I've used it for just quick little jobs like opening letters and packages and so on. I thought the Internet experts said that the 7cr17 steel was suppose to be inferior sreel, but this version must have got the heart treatment right cause the blade is still capable of easily shaving hair off of my arm. Man if I had just bought a different color then this would be another 5 star rating.

Great Tiny Knife but Needs Better Steel
First the good. This is amazing for a super tiny fixed blade. It is surprisingly comfortable to use despite only being held with a couple of fingers. The small blade is arguably a step up from your average "utility knife" shape. The sheath is awesome. It clicks into place like the best custom kydex. It holds well for great retention but is easily drawn, popping off with a thumb press. It can be used as a neck knife, attached to various clips, or just dropped into a pocket if anchored sheathing isn't important to you. While the 7Cr17Mov isn't so bad in a $20 knife, it's still way behind the times. Sure, it's more stainless than 8Cr13Mov and edge retention is better than lower members of the series. For instance, it's significantly better than the 3Cr13 used in many of Walmart's Ozark Trail knives. It's just that competition has gotten hot on budget knives. I'd be much happier paying an extra five or ten bucks to get this in either 9Cr18Mov or 14C28N. It would be worth it.

Great for cutting fishing line.
I needed a small knife to use to cut fishing line and heavy braid while kayaking. I chose this one primarily due to it's size. A neck knife is perfect for what I needed. Having the knife on a neck lanyard means I don't have to dig it out of my pocket to use it. This is pretty key since when kayaking, I'm sitting most of the time and reaching into pants pockets is difficult. The Kydex sheath fits well and hold the blade very securely. I did replace the ball chain with an adjustable sliding knot lanyard I made from some scrap cordage. The ball chain was fine, but I wanted it to be adjustable so I could tuck it out of the way when paddling. The blade itself is forged from 7cr17MoV steel, which is similar to 440A steel hardness with a bit of extra chromium thrown in the mix which helps with corrosion resistance and holding an edge. The knife came razor sharp right out of the box, so I have not sharpened the factory edge yet. Out of the box, it's awesome at cutting through braid and heavy flouro line.

Super sharp. Overall perfect EDC knife!
It’s always good to have a knife on you. It is an excellent utility with so many uses. Typical pocket knifes often get left home because I forget to bring them with me. This knife is great because it’s one that you wear around your neck. If you never take it off, it’s impossible to leave it home. The blade itself is a little small (about 2 inches), but don’t be fooled. It is INCREDIBLY sharp and sturdy. I sliced myself a few times getting it out of the sheath, so please do be careful. The blade is full tang which means the metal is featured all the way throughout the knife. This leads me to believe it will last a very long time. I would very much recommend this knife, and will certainly purchase another in the future.

Decent for cost
While a neck knife should be securely held in its case during wear, the ability to quickly and efficiently draw the knife remains a staple of its very purpose. Unfortunately, this knife takes more effort to resheath and unsheath than is practical. I am a martial arts instructor and Military/Law Enforcement Tactical Instructor by trade. I own and have utilized over hundreds of various knife brands and styles. Neck knives are among my favorite. In addition, the knife is hard to hold in regular sized hands, it is very easy to lose control or grip during use.On a positive note, the blade is solid and seems to hold an edge well.If this review helped, please let Amazon and me know by clicking the helpful review button below. I enjoy taking the time to review and give honest feedback on all the items I purchase.
