Fiskars 18x24 Inch Eco Cutting Mat Board (01-005900)

Ordered for me to use in our RV. It fits nicely in the closet and can use either on the counter or on dining table.

Its a good cutting mat. We used it for the arts and crafts work, mostly to cut papers and cardboards. The size is perfect for that purpose. The markings on the mat helps while cutting. The thing that disappointed me is, it's not really self-healing. The cuts left by the blade, though probably healed a bit, they don't heal completely. So don't be fooled by that self-healing description.

Came in a flat box, no funky smell, true to size, durable. Seems to be self healing as of now. No complaints. It is exactly what I wanted when I ordered it.

A great cutting mat (I'm on my second one). I use it to cut foam core to make inserts for my board games. I cut it with the OLFA 1075449 XA-1 9mm Fiberglass Rubber Grip Utility Knife (I don't use it with a rotary cutter). I use it quite a bit (1000s of cuts ranging from 18 inches to .5 inches each). I'd say my first one lasted about 1.5 years before it had to be replaced. I'm sure it would last much longer if I were using a rotary blade (but, those don't work on foam core).

So my wife does a LOT of sewing. She had another Fiskars cutting board that she's used for years and is also (I think) self-healing. Well, it's time has come and gone, she says this new one is SO much better. She's happy, so you know that means I'm happy too.
