NECAAlien: Covenant - 7" Scale Action Figure - Xenomorph Action Figure

Whether you enjoyed Alien: Covenant or not, this Xenomorph from NECA as seen in the film is fantastic. NECA tends to have QC issues when it comes to Xenomorphs, most likely due to their slim frames and the weight/stress that puts on joints. Mine arrived in good shape in terms of the box, the legs on mine below the knees were warped outward badly, so I just fixed them by hitting them with a blow dryer and slowly bending the legs back the way they're meant to be. Sucks, but it was an easy and simple fix for a $25 figure. Plus, I knew I wouldn't be standing my Xenomorph up, I'd have him in his running position. Some might be miffed that there are no accessories, no face hugger or egg or anything, but to me it doesn't matter, I got this for the Xenomorph. All of the other previously released NECA Alien Xenomorphs are going for bank, I've gotten quite a few over the years to keep carded but I wanted one to open and have displayed, and this looks like a classic enough Xenomorph and is affordable so I grabbed him.Right out of the box I was impressed with the level of detail. You only see this iteration of the Xenomorph for the last act of the film and I didn't realize how much detail there is in the design. This retains most of H.R. Giger's original design aesthetic, and it's big in the movie as is the figure. It's like Big Chap big from the original Alien, with a lot of detailing and texture like an Alien Warrior from Aliens, and moves and almost has the coloring of the Dog Alien from Alien 3, while bringing something new to the table. This has more Human characteristics than Xenomorphs we've gotten before, if you've seen the film Alien:Covenant, you'll know why that is. I wasn't crazy about all the universe shrinking that happened in Alien: Covenant but I liked the design aesthetic, action, and most of the characters. We didn't get many figures from Prometheus, we've gotten a few iterations of the Xenomorph from Alien: Covenant but I'm hoping we get some other characters from the film in figure form.The paint apps are great, the whole thing is glossy and looks slimy. There's a nice sheen to the black dome. There's different colors all over the body in the texture, veins and muscles and tubing all have their own colors, and there's a nice dark wash over everything to kinda wash it all out and make the figure dark. The secondary mouth works great, extends easily and far. The articulation is good, the wire in the tail works really well and has no issue holding position, though I don't know how well it'll hold up over time. There's a useful hinge in the wrists, the legs are double jointed but the sculpt kinda hinders the upper joint, as does the sculpt hinder the legs at the hip. But, the ankles and toe articulation work great, the head can tilt pretty far back at the neck, not as much as I'd like, and seems to be no head tilt. I wish they'd used a ball joint instead or something. The torso articulation tilts back really far and was a big reason I was able to get this figure in the pose I intend on keeping it in.I'm a huge NECA fan, they get great license like Alien, Predator, Evil Dead, Planet of the Apes, and tons of good video games. I've gotten tons and tons of NECA figures over the last decade and it's great to see how the company has evolved and improved. I hope we gets tons of more Alien figures from the original 4 films, from the AVP films, from Prometheus and Alien: Covenant, keep 'em coming. I'm glad NECA rereleases figures, so you don't always have to pay an arm and a leg for a figure on the secondary market. If you're itching for a classic looking Xenomorph for and affordable price, or if you love Alien:Covenant and want the Xenomorph from the action packed final act, this is a fantastic figure to have in your collection, whether you keep it carded or open it. In just another month NECA will be putting out Blue and Brown Ultimate Alien Warrior action figures from Aliens and I'll be grabbing those while they're cheap, can never have enough Xenomorphs. This figure comes FULLY APPROVED.

So far this is the best NECA Xenomorph figure I’ve bought, it’s definitely the most flexible.

The details of this figure is amazing! However, be ware that this is not a toy but a display collectible. It doesn’t stand by itself and has very limited articulation. I also think that the material maybe a bit brittle so this has to be given the best TLC. We found a similar one in TFAW in Universal City walk for $10 less, but we didn’t have time to drive there again so we purchased from Amazon.

As a huge fan of the Alien movies I was incredibly excited to get this figure as it looks amazing. As these figures have been sold out in Australia for some time I decided to order it from the US. It arrived on time and in perfect condition.Unfortunately the figure itself was terrible. The left leg had not been put on properly meaning that the ball joint was highly visible whichever way it was positioned and it was impossible to get it to stand up, the dome had been attached to the head poorly so there was a large gap between the end of the dome and the mouth, and the jaw was wonky meaning the head was slanting to one side.Having watched a number of reviews of this figure on YouTube and seeing some of the photos on here it's clear that I've got unlucky with the figure I received. I'm really not sure how this figure passed through quality control because it's really poor. I own a number of other NECA figures and this is the first one I've had any issues with. Very disappointed.

I've had figurines with stiff or imperfectly assembled limbs and joints, and some with pieces that don't necessarily fit where they are meant to, but this is the first time I have gotten a figure that has a visible defect that could and should have been noticed and corrected by the manufacterer or distributer. There is a fleck of beige paint on the faceplate that I'm not able to scratch off without damaging the figure. It's a small defect, but the location of it being on the face leads to it being a very noticeable issue. Xenomorps aren't meant to have eyes, and this one appears to have one eye thanks to the paint. Other than that, it's a great figure. No stiffness, good detail, and pretty well made from what I can tell.

I received it sooner than expected. Only problem is one of the legs were defective it was bent. and the painting around the teeth and upper lip was a sloppy job I made some touch ups that fixed the problem. Other than that everything was good.

Known to some fans as "The Protomorph" this Alien figure resembles the creature featured in Alien Covenant to a tee. Fully articulated and highly detailed, Neca didn't skip a beat. Per usual with Neca's Aliens' - the head dome is semi transparent making the underneath skull somewhat visible in certain lighting. Also features a bendable wire tail, another signature attribute to Neca's Aliens. Would recommend to any collector or fan of the manufacturer or movie franchise.

This item is very detailed and looks just like it did in the movie.It has all the features and even has that second row of teeth that shoots out if it's mouth,and you can position it's legs and arms/head in any way you see fit.So I think you should definitely buy this item if you are a fan of the alien series by Ridley Scott and both the alien vs predator movies.👍🏻
