fantastik item
This is fantastic item ever seen. I was know jump starder. When I see that i decided to own it. It's incredibly easy to use. Just plug it in, connect it to your battery, and it does the rest. I love that it won't overcharge and damage my battery. The LED lights show me exactly what's happening. It feels solid and well-made. I appreciate that it works with different types of batteries too. This charger has made my life so much easier. Overall, this charger is a reliable and efficient solution for keeping my batteries in top shape.I highly recommend it to anyone who wants a reliable, worry-free charging solution.

Does the job
Compact and handy

Temperamental and unreliable
Bought this with the intentions of charging the battery but it’s just proven to be incredibly unreliable and extremely temperamental. Having to now buy an alternative one as a result.

Easy to use (if you don't read the instructions).
I have tried a number of battery chargers, but this is the first one that plugs directly into a mains socket without a plug and lead to complicate matters. There are many advantages to this arrangement, and some disadvantages. You don't need to find a place to put the often-bulky housing, and just need to run the two wires directly to the battery and connect using the good quality crocodile clips (actually, it's recommended to attach the negative clip [on negative earth vehicles] to a body earth rather than to the battery terminal). The illuminated display of the relatively slim charger can be seen easily in its vertical position. It might become a disadvantage if the mains socket is low down, on a skirting board, for example or is restricted or a plug adaptor is used. However, this device will mostly be used in garages, where the sockets are likely to be more accessible. And adaptors are never a good idea. I found the leads just long enough to reach from a mid-wall socket to the car's battery under the bonnet. A longer lead, and/or an extendable one, with a plug would be a practical improvement. It is good, though not to have the charger hanging down the side of the wing, propped on the slam panel, or suspended in mid air between mains socket and battery. As to using the charger, it seems to be a fairly sophisticated unit that detects the battery's voltage (displaying it before it is plugged in), and state of charge, taking care of the charging process mostly automatically. Once the battery is fully charged, it switches to maintenance or trickle-charging mode, meaning that it can be left connected when the vehicle is not in use. There is a mode button, but it is not needed in many cases. The LED display shows a lot of information concerning charge rate and stage, battery type, fault states and so on. A ring of pictograms around the mode button light up to tell you what is going on. The too-small instruction sheet does help to decode the symbols and fault codes, but I found it had lost something in the translation, and was confusing. This compact and convenient battery charger does everything many larger, more expensive ones do, though perhaps not as fast in some cases. It can cope with 6 and 12 volt batteries of all types, except LiFePo, and has repair and float modes and the usual safety features, and does most things automatically. At £21.99 delivered, it doesn't seem expensive, and with the £10 discount voucher currently available, it looks like a real bargain.
