I'm usually a mosquito magnet but wearing these definitely helped - not one bite! (Success!) The reason for 4☆ is because they really do stink of citronella (and that's how they work) and they were quite big on my hand. Also I would usually swap the bracelet around after 2.5 days as they would usually stretch out and the smell would have worn out by then (I did swim with them often). So please don't count on wearing one bracelet for days on end as they will become less effective. I do like the range of colours - shame there was only one black and one white (neutral colours) and the rest was fluorescent orange, green, blue, purple- real eye sores to wear. But at least I didn't get stung. It works!

I'm usually a magnet for mozzies & biting bugs so I was sceptical as to whether these would work... I react really badly & it can make holidays pretty miserable. I took all the usual repellent sprays on a recent holiday to Mexico but from the first evening I decided not to use the chemical sprays & instead put my trust in these little springy bracelets. I didn't get any bites... So I wore them again the next evening & every evening for the entire holiday. I didn't use any other repellents and didn't get a single bug bite the entire time I was there. Others in my party were all bitten several times. My husband also wore them & on the night he forgot to put his on, he got two bites on his ankle. One of my adult son's also asked for a couple after being bitten & he got no more bites once he started wearing them. I liked the colours that I coordinated with holiday outfits, I liked the natural smell (rather than the usual chemical smell of repellents) which lasted on the bracelets for several wears... I liked the fact that they were easy to stretch, to fit my husband's bigger wrists. I didn't wear them during the daytime but wore one on each wrist & one on my ankle each evening. I was very impressed & will buy again.
