Purple Dragon Professional Japan 440C Hair Salon Cutting Shear and Barber Thinning Scissor Hairdressing Shear Set with Bag (Black, 6 Inch)

I have been using what I thought were OK scissors to cut my hair but have wanted a better set. When I noticed these on Amazon for a great price I decided that I would not be out much if they were garbage. I used them for the first time yesterday and Wow, these are pretty nice. The finish is really nice and they cut through hair great. The case is ok the combs are cheap but I didn't buy the set for them. I would recommend these as a solid buy. I am not a professional stylist and I have only used them once as of now but if anything changes I will update this review. I will also update on how they hold an edge.

Replaced my kit shears w these and even my instructors like to borrow them when able to. These are my favorite due to their visual stylish matte finish, sharpness, performance, quality, and ergonomic feel. Highly recommended if this fits your style

Great buy! I am a licensed cosmetologist and I am very impressed with these shears, they cut very well and are super sharp. Will change my review to 5 starts once I see if the sharpness holds for a good amount of time. With their Hardness rating I am sure that they will though. I have dropped the big bucks for shears, and just recently started trying the bargain priced shears and I have to say, these cut as well as a my favorite 500 dollar shears and may replace them as my go-to. my only issue is the thinning shear cutting surface is not even and will have to be sharpened to fix this problem, but honestly the quality of the shears make up for it and I will be contacting the company to fix. Hope the customer service is also quality, I will report back!

From the reviews prior, I didn't expect much from the case or combs that it came with - the case and combs are just a bonus thing and the important thing are the scissors themselves which I am very satisfied with, plus they look cool. They have a good weight to them and already come oiled so they are ready to use out of the package. Everything you see in the product photo is the contents of your package. If anything happens to these scissors from user error, I would definitely re-order this product.

For the price I guess I shouldn't have expected much as far as quality. My other texturizing shears got dropped and some of the teeth were damaged so I needed a quick replacement. I saw these were available for next day delivery so I jumped. The regular shears cut ok, there is a little resistance when cutting but they'll get the job done. The texturizers though, barely cut at all, the pull the hair ALOT, I tried using them a couple times and they are just, bad, the only word I can think to use, bad. Again, I understand these are not high-quality well made shears..but come on

I used these professionally, the screw loosens up to fast and I have to constantly tighten it. The blades are wide and thick, and are hard to get under the hair around the ears. Other than that, they cut well if they are tight. The thinning shears work well.
