Amazing Light.
These lights really are amazing. I was skeptical at first because of the 'flexibility' "How can a light be tough AND flexible?" But they are. Bright. Versatile. Adjustable. Easy to set up. I bought the 2x1 2-color as a second light source. Love them both.

A Very Great and Versatile Light
I used this as the key light on two of my recent projects where space was limited on the key side of talent. Was able to easily fly into scene using just a 8’ Kupo boom arm on a c-stand because of how light weight it is. Also, brighter than expected.I would’ve given it 5 stars but I do have three minor issues with the product.First is with the foldable metal mounting attachment. They just slide under each corner of the back of the light so there’s nothing locking them into place. I noticed they easier pop out when trying to move the light while assembled. Additionally, they are not very sturdy so they bend easily. I find myself regularly trying to bend them back into a flat position but can get them each perfect so seems like each arm is bent just a little bit differently than the others.Secondly, in order to actually run AC power to the light, you still have to connect the battery plate adapter to the ballast as there is not AC input on the ballast itself. It makes the whole system much bulkier and requires you to hook up a whole extra unit. Would be great if they just built the battery mount into the ballast like they’ve done with lights like their 300Dii and 120Dii.And finally (also issue with the ballast) is that it comes with a thin safety chain attached to it so you can hang the ballast from a stand knob or hook. It’s obviously not very secure and could easily be knocked off. The most annoying part though is that the ballast itself has a locking mount on the side of it that is exactly the same as the mount on the side of the ballasts on their Aputure line lights such as the 600D, 300Dii, and 120Dii that can be attached to the maffer attachment included with those light kits. I’m not sure why they wouldn’t just include the same clamp with this kit so that you can safely and securely mount the ballast to a stand— especially if they already took them time to build the mount in the F22 ballast. I plan to purchase an additional one of their maffer clamp/ballast mounts but just frustrated I have to spend more money on something they include with all their other lights.Apart from those issues though, I really love this light and can see this being a continuous use on my future projects where space is an issue on set.I imagine their “mark ii” version of this light (whenever that comes out?) will address the minor issues I have.Another great Aputure/Amaran product.

Magenta/green tint
Not ready for professional use. Bright and the programming/functionality works very well, but the CRI rating on this can't be accurate. The 3200K setting puts out a magenta tint and the 5600K has a green tint. I can only assume that it's not calibrated fully and the lower CRI because it uses the RGB chip to create the difference in color temperatures.

Less expensive
I got these flex lights because they are less expensive than the westcott flex and westcott no longer sells 2x2 flexible lights. After 1 month I can say the setup is good enough but not mindblowing.Positives1st I love using the app, it actually has worked flawlessly so far. I can control the lights with my android and have no problem changing colors or intensity at all.Light quality is great and very little heat is produced by the lightsThe light case is very well designedIn a small space like 7'x5' room the light appears very brightNegatives (but not too bad)I dont like the fan noise of the power unit. It is pretty loud for led lights. They include a pretty long extension so it works for me to put it away from mic, but it would be nice if the power unit was maybe larger so it could be more quiet. The way the power cord is attached is frustrating. Would have been nice if it was detachable, but maybe it'll hold up better this way.I bought these lights to use in a tight space where I couldnt fit tripods or my thicker led video lights. It bugs me that the softbox when attached covers up the velcro and the hanging cromets on the flex panel itself. I added velcro to the out side of the box and it seems to be holding.I'd buy them again, because they are currently the best deal on flex lights this size with this level of versatility and reliability.I will try to remember to update if the lights fail

Bad color shift. (Don’t buy used.)
Bad color shift. Set gel pretext to blue and half the mat is literally putting out red. Same thing on til, half the mat is til the other half throws out a nasty greenish orange. Don’t buy used! Could increase the likelihood of this crap defect. And don’t buy used especially from “bestar.foto”. They list this crap as “good/like new” and that’s just not the case. Horrible experience.
