All American plus vs. sure grip velvet
I’ve used roller bones 101A, the sure grip velvets and a few outdoor wheels. The all American plus is perfect. It slides a good amount but not like some Fomacs that you can slide across the floor with or something. The sure grip velvet is way more grippy in my opinion and can be kind of restrictive if you wanna do turns for example. In these I can spin 360 one way and immediately spin 360 in the other direction with no tug from the wheel. The velvets you feel like they are going to get stuck in the ground if you try to do that. People try to say they are the same grip/ slide ratio but they aren’t they’re more slick than the velvets

So far so good.
Got these wheels last night, installed them this morning. Hopefully they are as good as the ones they replaced. I got 46 years out of the old ones. The old ones wore down 2 mm on the outside diameter over the years but were still working ok. The reason I replaced them is because over all of the years of pulling and cleaning the bearings, and not pulling the bearings straight out of the wheels, the inner bore of the wheels became wallowed out enough to let the wheels do a little wobbling on the bearings. At times on the skating floor, I would get a funny feeling like some kind of hesitation or something and I was thinking maybe the wheels are acting funny on the bearings because of this 'wallowing out'. I'm sure some of what is happening is due to trash on the floor, but not all of it. Anyway, they're on the skates now and Tuesday night they go for their maiden run. Hope these go another 46 years. Very happy with my purchase.

My Opinion
The media could not be loaded. Great overall wheel if you need that perfect balance between grip/slip, mix it with a fomac on each skate and you

Perfect for me
They did exactly what they needed to do. Keep in mind the quality of the floor you're skating on. Because these are harder, if you have a slick floor, you slip and slide with these. If you have a well maintained floor, these will still give you decent grip if that's something you're worried about.

Shaves down
If you jam or rhythm skate these are amazing. Super hard makes it easier to do tricks.I love these wheels!!! My second pair now Got them maybe 3 months ago but im a frequent skater. 2xs a week at-least and I only wear these indoor. Sadly you have to be careful of where your pressure is cause my left boot top right wheel is already shaving down. No noticeable dips but you can definitely tell the edges rounded out a lot.

I love them! I recommend these.
The media could not be loaded. I love them! Very smooth & slip ride. Perfect for the dance skating that I do. My skates were custom built with these wheels. I was told by my expert to clean the surface, THEN boil the wheels to clean the dirt out of the pores. I haven't did that yet but that method may keep them working fresh & like new! I recommend these to nearly ANY roller skater.

So so
They slide very well but pick up too much trash from the rink . Particles get embedded into the wheels . I’m not happy with them .

Skate wheels are a personal preference..there is no 1 size/hardness fit all
I absolutely love my All American Plus wheels. They slide enough and grip enough for me. For someone to say they don't like them means these wheels are not for you. Find a pair that matches your skate style period.
