Fyi.. check ur size and bring the adapter to your local hardware store..not all PVC will fit.. it's a metric type..ur better off just purchasing an US standard measure screw 1in adapter at ur local store, like i did. But this pump works! Let me tell you!! ! I was not expecting it. It been in the elements alone for a while now..and it holds ! U can attach a hose clamp or a PVC clamp to the pump nozzle if u need to extend the spout.. I did.. I can now give my pets water at ground level. U won't be upset. Just remember..ur gonna need to buy the 1 inch pvc screw adapter if ur in the USA. The one it comes with..did not fit any known USA PVC diameter. But I like it. Compared to the ones on the market . No rust. No issues..strong..and HAS EXTRA seals..!! U won't be upset. Even the base mounting is solid with no breaks.

Realmente esperaba que tuviera alguna dificultad al sacar agua, ACLARO QUE LA ENTRADA DE LA JARRA ES DE 1 PULGADA (no de 1 1/4 como se aprecia en las imágenes) viene con un cople roscado de 1 " a 1 1/4, tiene de profundidad 6 metros al claro del agua, más otros 3 metros debajo de ella está la base que succiona, de una instalación anterior le deje una válvula check de bronce y compre una de pvc, funciona al 100, estoy sorprendido , ya que no pesa como las de hierro, completamente recomendable .

it works as expected
I was pleasantly surprised the pump actually worked as expected. It went down to 20~25ft with the pump, and drew up water.You need to make sure you've got the top part of the pump filled with water to get the pump to start drawing water up. But, once you do that, and it starts pumping, it brings up quite a bit of water per pump.

Will rust fast.
For a metal pump designed to be in contact with water, it rusts pretty fast. I would not leave in water overnight. Does work as intended.

Beware handle
Plastic handle can easily slip off causing the metal rod handle to quickly rebound. It caught me under the chin, had to visit the ER. Handle grip out to be rubber or fastened.
