VIZIO Voice Remote - XRT260

I recently bought two Vizio televisions, a V-Series and Vizio's best television a P-Series. Unfortunately the new remote design that Vizio designed, is very cheap and too basic. The volume control, and the mute button are on the side of the remote. Which I found difficult to use. The Voice Control is a major reason why I chose to stay with Vizio. I purchased this XRT260 remote to replace the one that came with the TV. At first the Voice Control did not work on the new remote, and the remote was slow to react. This was my fault, and I found out the following: You must go into your televisions (all settings), then select (system), then (voice remote). Then unpair your original remote first! Then you can pair the new remote. Since I did that, it has worked seamlessly. The new remote is a great improvement over the factory remote! I like how the volume, and mute button are on the front of the remote. I also like the closed caption button on the front of the remote. It is overall a much better designed remote and doesn't act and feel so cheap.

Worked right out of the box! Easy to pair and responsive with all the functions I needed. Solid replacement.

The description of this remote doesn't mention all potential TVs that it's able to work with, I purchased it hoping it'd work for my TV, the model of mine is V555-G1 which is not listed in the description (it'd be a pain to manually update all working models, so I get it) but I figured to let people know that it can work for ones not listed in the description, it worked for my V555-G1, also the original remote for my TV sucked, the XRT260 is buttery smooth and functions very well, the only downside to this remote and I did not mark it down in my review (since I read reviews prior to purchasing it) the voice command button does nothing, and I am not sure how to actually get it to work which is a bummer, and YouTube is no help it wants to suggest voice playback, soooo that's pretty much everything. If you want a solid remote that works for a reasonable price (it does go on sale) this one won't disappoint.

The VIZIO Voice Remote is a budget-friendly replacement for lost or broken VIZIO TV remotes. It offers a strong signal and works seamlessly with various VIZIO TV models. This remote is perfect in every way! After reading the reviews about the voice command not working, I was hesitant to buy it. But, for $10 I thought I'd give it a try. I have a Vizio V55J01 tv and the remote that came with it was horrible. This remote worked as soon as I put batteries in it, but the red light kept blinking and the voice mic button did nothing. I reached out to customer service and in 10 min the remote worked perfectly. You must go to the system settings on your television and pair the remote in order to get the microphone button to work. Its very easy! Automatically unpairs any previous remote.

The media could not be loaded. Main thing to know: the voice command button doesn't work. Makes crazy loud CLICK nouse every time you press a button..(video) like think infant toy click level noise. Would be wildly annoying to anyone with a sleeping partner or child while trying to watch TV.It came with no instructions. Very little help in reviews, questions or on internet. I also feel like you shouldn't have to spend time looking for instructions on new items you purchase. No instructions, cords etc is a beyond annoying norm that seems to be happening lately with all retail.The red button will flash until it doesn't. I assume it's syncing from what I gathered online. However the voice command just doesn't work which was the main reason I chose this remote.There is slight lag in responsiveness, forget using this under a blanket too. It needs to be directly pointed at the television to work. Also noted is the edges are very sharp feeling laying in your hand. Remote has a weird matte feeling that just feels off.I will be returning this and don't recommend.

It worked as soon as I placed batteries in ..also batteries not included! Just a heads up! Works great just won't stop blinking even when tv is off? Idk if that we'll kill the batteries sooner ? ........Update after a a while the blinking stopped
