I’ve been following Jemma’s YouTube channel since 2013, making all sorts of recipes posted. I brought the mini food tube book back when I visited the bakery, and also made lots from that too. I Follow Dane, Sally and Nikki also on Instagram, trying out the recipes they post as well. The cakes really are out of this world, anytime I make any of these recipes I receive no end of compliments, stating it’s the best cake/cookie/brownie they’ve ever had. The recipes are always so delicious and really easy to follow. They taste exactly like they do in the shop!When this booked arrived in the post I was beyond excited, and it really has lived up to my expectations. The range of different recipes are great, and they all look absolutely amazing! I cannot wait to try one, but I think it’ll have to be the sticky toffee cake first.If you are thinking of buying this book, definitely do it. You will not regret it, and I guarantee anything you make will go down extremely well with friends/family/colleagues. The recipe's have never let me down.

Lovely book full of great ideas and recipes

Wow! So much work has gone into this amazing book. I've many many other cake/ bake books and none are like this. In true cupcake jemma style, it's not just recipes, it's teaching all the how to & Top tips for avoiding issues. At the beginning it gives you all the basics recipes you'll need along with equipment, in so much detail! Then it's broke up into cupcake, traybake, cookies & cake sections.There are QR codes throughout to take you straight to the cupcake jemma channel for tutorials on how to level your cake layers or how to crumb coat or make drips etc. Every recipe has a picture and goes into great detail, it leaves little room for the reader/ baker on the other side to question the exact process. Absolutely amazing! It is by FAR the best book of its kind- and believe me, I personally have MANY! You will not find anything else like it with the information and knowledge packed into this it is an absolute MUST BUY!!Thankyou Crumbs and Doilies for the work that has gone into this book, it is gold!

I purchased this book some time ago but I finally got around to using it a few weeks ago. I made a four tier chocolate cake following their chocolate sponge recipe. The sponge turned out super moist and full of flavour, it was the basis of the best cake I have made to date. This book is full of helpful tips, beautiful photos and handy QR codes that you can scan to take to videos demonstrating certain techniques. I would highly recommend this book for anybody who enjoys baking cakes and wants to hone their skills.

Wonderful recipes, every instruction you could ever need, explaining why you should use certain ingredients, clearly illustrated pictures to show you the outcome of whatever treat you decide to cook, I have many books but can honestly say, if you want to make cakes, desserts and cup cakes to be proud of, you MUST buy this book. It is truly an amazing book....I intend to cook one of the cakes this afternoon and can't wait

My son and I were drawn in by the delicious- looking cakes and other great pictures. We've made a couple and they have indeed been delicious,but my goodness the recipes seem complicated. Some have 15+ ingredients and require overnight freezing of the mixture.And the quantities! Oh my life, one recipe required 8 eggs! EIGHT!! I'm not feeding the five thousand. Just wanted a cake which serves about 6-8. When we made some cookies from the book, our usual mixing bowl was not big enough to contain the mix, and i had to use the wok!! Anyway, it's a lovely book, delicious recipes, but hard for beginners (which is what I am).

The media could not be loaded. This book is great, not only are the recipes really simple to follow, I love how special tools and cupboard essentials have a dedicated chapter. It also talks about what each ingredient is good for and which bakes it will suit best, for e.g the difference between each type of sugar.The pictures are gorgeous and they have included a really fantastic variety of bakes from cakes to cupcakes, cookies, tray bakes and how to make my personal favourite, Swiss Meringue Buttercream and the culinary wonder which is Caramelised White Chocolate.Buy this book, and trust me, your tastebuds, family and friends will thank you!

I looooove this book! I have been a fan of Cupcake Jemma for the longest time and always wanted to visit Crumbs and Doilies in London but never had the chance. I have made a few recipes from her YouTube videos which have always turned out great and now I have this book which is amazing! There is a whole section on like the ‘basics’ which tells you how to make different sponges, buttercreams, sauces and extras. I love that because then you can be creative and make your own cupcakes too! Would definitely recommend this book :)
