A friend and I have regular Sunday movie nights in which we watch classic movies (1920s-40s) with strong women leads. So when I saw this book I ordered it to see if it would help us find more movies to watch. I'm thrilled with the book. We now have a seemingly endless list of movies to choose from, with lots of info on each one to help us pick our selection.I really like the fact that each page describes one movie and that there is information about women who were in lesser acknowledged roles both on and off screen - a way of keeping this history from completely vanishing.And if we ever decide to go beyond the 1940s, we will be able to do so using this book as a resource, as it lists movies right up to the present.
