This is a great, sturdy little beach hat. I actually bought this two years ago and didn’t really wear it. I didn’t care for the ribbon and the way it dangled down and flopped around in the back. I saw someone else mention that they felt like Bo Peep, and that’s really accurate! I took the bow off, and now I wear it all the time! I think it looks “beachier” without the ribbon. The ribbon is held on by glue, but I was able to pull it off pretty easily and didn’t damage the hat. In a couple spots I had to use my fingernails to pry and pull off some stuck on glue, but I managed to get it all off. I love that this hat is packable, doesn’t lose shape, and stays in the place..

I love this hat! It provides great UV protection and looks so cute paired with a summer sundress. It does a great job shading my face from the sun. I also like that it’s adjustable with the chin string, but I personally tucked the string inside the hat to keep the look more stylish. I wore it this way while running errands around DC and received so many compliments! I purchased the M/L size and it fit perfectly.

The smallest size available is way too big for us “pinheads!” I snugged it up, (a lot) according to directions and it came closer to the right fit. However, that made the inner black band extend below where it usually sits, so I wish they had used a band closer to the straw color so the black would not be so obvious around my ears. Looks a little weird. Still, it’s a cute hat, and the ribbon around the crown gives it a sweet, feminine touch. I folded it like instructed, and it came out of my luggage looking OK, with very little work to eliminate the light fold lines. I just dampened it lightly, smoothed it all out, flattening the brim firmly with both hands, while then letting it rest overnight in an upside-down position, the crown filled tightly with clean socks and underwear. By morning, you’d never know it had ever been folded. The brim looks bigger on me than it does on the models, but I was glad about it, as the sun in Mexico was ferocious! No sunburn anywhere from the shoulders up the whole two weeks. Great hat, just wish it came in a smaller size. We had very high winds a few days, and the chin strap was such a help. I liked being able to let the hat hang over my back when in stores, leaving me hands-free. The straw composition allows breezes blow through it, so it does not tend to make your head sweat. No doubt I will find uses for it year round, down here in south Florida. All in all, a great purchase.

I just got back from my European river cruise trip and this hat was with me every day. First of all, I love how sturdy it is even through all the folding and unfolding I did during packing and taking it in and out of my crossbody bag throughout the day. The material is thick but very pliable yet holds the shape of how you want it to look while you are wearing it. This protected me from the strong Serbian and Croatian sun and the chin strap helped me from losing it to the gust of wind at the port. It gave me a just a little more touch of class instead of my baseball cap!

I've now had this hat for a year and taken it on two backpacking trips. It's a great investment. Cute, effectively blocks out the sun, and it's super durable. I've shoved it in my backpack and I fold it up to put it in my tote multiple times a day when I travel. It looks like it did when I bought it. Hand-washing works well and it dries beautifully. Highly recommend.

You can adjust it to fit your head which I like. I wore at the beach and didn't have to worry about it flying off my head. It kept my head well protected from the sun. I enjoy wearing it in hot weather.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So freakin cute 😭💕 last year my scalp got scorched in the sun so I decided this year to get this type of hat. I used to hate these because they always seemed like something my grandma would wear, but this specific one is ADORABLE I absolutely love it 🥰

This hat is super cute and well packaged but imo, runs small. I bought the L/XL and it was super tight even after adjusting it. I had to return it. I can wear an average baseball cap with no issues (just making it adjustable to a slightly larger setting works fine). I guess I have a big head and never knew it?? If you’re in doubt at all, using their sizing guide & measure.
