Women Black Wool Hooded Split Front Poncho Cape

My high school daughter is really into capes and ponchos and asked for one for Christmas. My 86 year old mother wanted to get her one, but something with clean lines that could be used for a while and lots of situations - also, good quality as well. Nothing satisfied us in the stores, so I said I'd check on Amazon. This cape fit the bill! A beautiful cut, thick material, and warm. My daughter loved it and wore it to all out Christmas events! It does not button at the neck, but the neckline was wide enough to slide on and off easily.

I bought this cloak for a Wirt cosplay, and it looks great! It’s a pretty thick material, it doesn’t feel scratchy but it also doesn’t feel like it is made of wool (despite the fact that its called a “solid wool” cape). I usually wear a women’s medium or large in shirts and I have pretty broad shoulders so I went with the large; it isn’t constricting. If you wanted to wear it for warmth, its pretty fashionable and perfect for the mild winters where I live, but I don’t think it would keep you warm in the snow.

This has to be my absolute favorite purchase this year. I love it so much! I wish it were open in the front because it's a little awkward to put on and the neck hole is a little small - okay, and the hood could be a bit bigger but this is only my personal preference! This cloak is super warm and gets me so many compliments! I've added pockets on the inside, too. Highly recommended! 😍

I like it... Enough not to return it for the price. I was looking for a wool blend because I get cold very easily and fleece does not cut it. I got the largest size because I have broad shoulders and I'm glad I did. It isn't tight... It's exactly the right size shoulders. The material is thick and sturdy and the cape is well made. Ok now the reason for the 3. This is Not a wool blend. It's has a 100% polyester tag. The pop over is annoying and feels too claustrophobic at the neck. Luckily I love sewing so I opened the seam in front and fixed that problem. I also used the cloak as a pattern and made a soft lining for it. If the material was as advertised this would have been a no contest 5 star.... But as it is just basically plastic and I was Looking for a wool blend I cannot on good conscience rate it higher. It is definitely a Risk ordering this.

This has, what I can only describe as, fitted shoulders? I have really broad shoulders for a girl, I'm 5'2 with almost 18 inch shoulders, and this conforms to mine like it has 17.75 inch shoulders. Once you get passed the shoulders it opens up to the full cloak and is plenty wide enough everywhere else. I was so disappointed, but I started wearing it at the house and forcing it over my "football player shoulders" (as the kids in grade school use to say...) And I'm happy to say that somehow I've made them give a bit, despite the cloak being really thick and solid, now it fits pretty well. I was determined though, this was everything that I wanted in a cloak at the time. Now I'd love if it opened instead of messing my hair up every time I put it it on. It's easier to get off without killing your coif, but putting it on smashes my hair to h-e-doublehockeysticks. However, to get the full effect of how cool you look in this, the hood has to be up, and you don't want your hair did if you're just gonna have a hood over it.I live in Tucson, in the desert, so I can pull off a spaghetti strapped bustier style dress and thigh high boots in December and not be cold. Let me tell you how cool I feel wearing that! I look like I stepped out of Underworld as a high priestess or something. Very cool. Soft material, I'm very pleased!

I bought this for a Renaissance Faire costume to keep warm —and ended up ordering another one as well as the material is thick and will keep us super warm in the morning or evening. I had purchased another cloak but returned it as was more like felt. This is good quality and I recommend it.

Very warm! Halloween was chilly this year and it went perfectly with my witch costume. Also, the lack of a clasp makes it durable enough for the washing machine.

I ordered the largest size they had -- it barely fit over my head, and was not nearly as long as it appeared in photos. (I'm barely 5 feet tall - it came roughly to my thigh top). It was also heavy and itchy. I do not recommend this product.
