Best bang for the buck!
Solid boots! Very comfortable, light, excellent for walking, hiking, or in my case, working. The price should be about double for what you're getting. These boots are something of a small miracle. If you're on the fence, buy them.

Good for hiking in the plains
The first thing I noticed about these boots is their exceptional comfort. Right out of the box, they felt like they were custom-made for my feet. The cushioned footbed and supportive midsole provided ample support during long hikes, reducing fatigue and ensuring I could keep going for miles without discomfort. Even during intense climbs and descents, these boots offered stability and confidence, thanks to their well-designed construction.Durability is another standout feature of these boots. Despite countless hikes through rugged terrain, including rocky slopes and abrasive surfaces, these boots have held up remarkably well. The tough outsole provides excellent traction on various surfaces, giving me the confidence to tackle challenging trails without hesitation. In terms of price, I don't think you can get much better then this for you unless you get lucky at a goodwill or fb marketplace. In summary, if you're in the market for a dependable hiking boot that can handle the plains and mountains, look no further than these boots. Comfortable, waterproof, and durable, these boots are a true asset for any outdoor enthusiast. Highly recommended!

The best ones yet!
I've had great luck with Merrell Moab Mid boots. I've had the originals, the Moab 2s, and now, the Moab 3s. I was in a store recently and was wearing my Moab 2s and tried on the 3s. It was a revelation! The 3s have more structure and bit firmer sole which helps me as so much of my hiking is gravely/rocky cross country high desert. Immediately comfortable right out of the box and know they will break in slightly. The EVA midsole is a concern for everybody as they can disintegrate in time with lack of use and, particularly, in humid climates. As mentioned, I live in the high desert and have yet to have an issue with the EVA midsoles. In addition to the Moab Mid boots, I also have two pairs of the Moab shoes (I think gen 2) that are also holding up well.I'm a day hiker, no longer a backpacker so can't speak to that use but I often carry a day pack of 10-15 pounds (I'm 6', 160#) but it's not for rucking, it's because I need certain survival gear as I'm alone in the backcountry for most of my hikes. All the generations of Moabs I've owned are also great for in town wear. Their waterproof rating is, shall we say, generous. You're not going to stay dry fording a creek or in heavy rain but they work fine in dry snow if it doesn't come over the top of your boot. I wear a variety of merino wool blend socks of midweight so do consider your sock's thickness when your sizing these. I wear a 12 in Moabs but in most shoes (like Sperry Top-Siders or Clarks desert boots), I find 11.5 fits better.

Late delivery but from what it seems quality product still have yet to test it in the field
So it was late to be delivered but I'm very happy with what I got it looks very sturdy it fits really well it makes me think of a sheep's foot or a goat that would travel up a mountain obviously they're designed to grip really well I still have to wear them and test them out but we'll see how that goes for now it gets four stars only because how late it was It was supposed to be here a week ago

Very satisfied, much cheaper than local stores.
This is my second pair. I bought the first pair in 2015, and the sole finally started to separate from the upper. I bought the first pair at my local Bass Pro. They had this shoe in stock, for $145. Twice the price of Amazon for the same shoe. I read previous negative reviews about versions made in Bangladesh. I noticed the shoes at Bass Pro were made in Vietnam, and the pair I received were made in Bangladesh. Concerned they might be counterfeit, I called Merrell, and they confirmed they have a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh. I compared them very closely to my original pair, and could see no difference anywhere in the quality. The new pair do have substantially more arch support than my originals. Very happy with the shoes. Like my first pair, they were comfortable right out of the box.
