I purchased two of these e-book covers- 'Advanced Potions' and 'Handbook for the Recently Deceased'- and I'm thrilled with both of them. They are very sturdy and I believe they would protect my e-reader from damage if I dropped it. The glue on the back of the velcro is very strong, and the hold of the velcro is also very strong. I would be able to pull the e-reader from one cover to put it into the other one at whim- which is nice- but it wouldn't be easy to due to the strength of the velcro's grip (which I like- because that means that the e-reader won't just easily fall out of the cover). Also, each cover has a magnet that closes the cover, and the magnets are also very strong, so I know that the cover isn't just going to randomly pop open during a fall.I liked the personal touch of the inner label that said that each cover was 'Handmade by The Manor Bindery/ Hampshire England' and the small insert with the name of the lady who had made both of them. It was a very pleasant surprise to get something so beautiful on Amazon that was handmade, as I wasn't expecting these to be handmade.

It's like it came from Hogwarts

I’m not sure why people thought this was something more then what it is. Yes, it’s cardboard, but it’s a very stiff cardboard. Like, “might as well be wood” stiff. Yes, it’s paper cover and interior. If it was embellished, you wouldn’t be able to fold the cover back to hold it in one hand while reading.Pros: This is a high quality cover. The print quality is excellent and there exterior is lightly waxed as stated. This should hold up to normal use for quite some time. It’s made of a very stiff cardboard. While over time, I’m sure I’ll get some corner wear, I think it’ll only add to the character of the cover and make the book look read and loved like a real book.Cons: It does not fit every paper white as stated. I have an older version (I believe it’s a Gen 8) that is too short for the interior case. I made it a little more snug by cutting a strip from the foam that comes in the case and adding it to the top of my kindle. The sides, while loose, stop held the kindle. The first pic shows this. I ultimately bought myself the new kindle and it’s a good fit. All other photos are the new kindle.The only thing I’d like to see different is a flatter fit (see last photo). One reason we love it kindles is because they are slim. The larger binding gives a triangular fit more like a binder and less like a book. It’s not a make out break for me, but if this was corrected, I’d probably buy the updated cover.

4.5* for the feel, quality, and overall aesthetic of these beautiful Kindle covers. It feels more like a real book than the standard synthetic cases. I've had a few of these, and the binding does wear out after a year or so since I read daily. The only features I would prefer to change are the sticky/velcro attachment (it works, but I always feel like I'm going to damage my Kindle when I eventually need to replace the cover) and add the magnetic "waking" feature. I got used to the automatic turning on/off when opening/closing on a different type of case and find myself missing that.Otherwise, these cases are worth the expense. The designs are beautiful - I get lots of compliments when I travel - and it has the weight/feel of a real book.

The packaging is super cute!! The cover itself feels and looks of good quality. I didn’t know that it was held in place with Velcro, which was my fault for not reading the details, but I was able to use a clear case to avoid applying it directly to my kindle and I love the way it looks!!When reading you can fold the cover all the way back and the magnets hold it in place making it super easy to hold

I absolutely love the details that went into making this! I've been using this for almost a year and it has held up very well! It fits my kindle and is comfortable to hold. I read a lot, and it's still in great condition.

This is my second one. But not for a bad reason. I had the first one for several years. And I used it every day. It finally gave up on me ...lol so I got another one. It is a great product, has great grip on my kindle. And great protection. It is worth every penny.

As expensive as this cover was, I expected it to last for several years. I’ve had this cover about 5 months and, as you can see from the picture, it is already starting to fall apart. I’m extremely disappointed in it. I bought it primarily for its looks and now it looks awful and cheaply made. Just to let you know, I’m a retired senior and not some kid that doesn’t take care of their things.
