Nice alternative to dragging an air compressor around
I've been using a Senco stapler for nearly 30 years. There's nothing wrong with it, but it's inconvenient to have to drag an air compressor around every time I need to put a couple staples into something. So, every so often, I'd look to see if there was a cordless option. Not often enough, apparently, because DeWalt started making this one back in 2017, and I'm only just now getting one. But I digress.This cordless (and hoseless) stapler works every bit as well as my Senco stapler. It doesn't weigh much more, even with a battery on it, and the whole thing - including my assortment of different length staples - fits comfortably in one of my Ridgid stacking toolboxes, so it's easy to take it on the road when I need to.

It DOES the job!
Perfect if you need/want to set 1.25" staples into treated fence posts as I did! The 18v knock-off staple/nail gun I tried failed miserably. Thank you B&D Dewalt!

Value and quality
Quality stapler that out performs similar sized pneumatic devices.Slightly heavy with the 5ah battery. Plenty of shot capacity from the 2ah battery.

We own a small goat farm so you know fencing is important. I cant believe how easy this makes installing fencing. Wish I had this years ago.

WORKED GREAT THE FIRST TWO TIMES I USED IT, NOW IT WILL NOT EJECT A STAPLE
I have only used this stapler twice. It worked great the first two times I used it but now it will not eject a staple. it engages (runs) but no staple will eject. It is clean inside and I am using the same dewalt staples I was using when it worked. I have mostly Dewalt tools (saws, drills, sanders, everything) and have been happy with their products. But I paid about $300. for this and am very disappointed in it. Hardly even used it.

Not cheap but good
When I first got it, it double fired a couple of times. I thought it might be manufacturing problem but then the problem went away with more use. Overall good unit but a bit heavy.
