I run mine off of a 12v deep cycle battery that is solar charged by a 100w panel. I added a second battery on a parallel circuit to increase run time. Even with 2 batteries the pump will not run 24 hours. I get 12 daylight hours run time on my setup.

This is my second one of these. The first one lasted a little over 2 years, running 10 hours per day. About what I expected so no complaints.
