We were a bit nervous about this purchase as it is so cheap compared to other websites, but we’re so chuffed we bought it! It’s exactly the ‘vibe’ we wanted for the room even though we couldn’t have a real wood burner. This was the right size without breaking the bank, we have quite a shallow hearth and this fit perfectly.Fairly easy to fill once the fake logs are in (we’ve utilised an old iron filling pourer to help) very easy to light (we purchased extra long matches so we didnt need to put our hands too close as I’m a bit clumsy 😅)Things to know:There’s no glass on this, hence no handle on the front. It’s all one solid unit, no door function.It gets hot to the touch on the top and sides (obviously hot from the front!) and I think you’d need to be extra careful if toddlers or excitable pets were nearby.Ive seen info/reviews/questions about how much it can heat a room, I was so suprised how much it works to heat a space. I wasnt expecting much but it does kick out some heat, I’d be happy to use this to heat our lounge easily without central heating on.With this burner we got about 3.5-4 hours of burn time using a 1L Ekofuel bottle.There is a smell (with the Ekofuel) when its first lit, i found after about 20 minutes it disappears, but I’d definitely keep a door open for at least the first 20 mins.We calculated that we spent £174 in total to set all this up. £99 - Stove, £25 - fake logs, £40 - 12L fuel, £10 - loads of long matches.A litre lasts an evening, so you could stretch 12Ls out over a month if used every other day.A wood burner would be much more to setup initially, wood is between £8-£15 a bag and running costs would include chimney sweeping. So way more expensive, and cleaning a pain!With £80 of fuel purchased in a month you could run it most days and that works out to £2.66 per day. Thats nothing on the cost of wood for a burner.Get this burner, you wont regret it

Very happy with this fire, came extremely well packaged and the fire itself is very sturdy and well made, easy to fill as you can remove the fuel reservoir refill and close the lid and drop it back in its slot. Gives of a decent amount of heat as well, would recommend.

The media could not be loaded. We weren’t expecting too much with this little fire. We just thought it was going to be cheap and cheerful and not deliver much. But it really has exceeded our expectations. It throws out some heat; it looks fabulous and has made our room so cosy and is easy to use. It really is exceptional value for money. If you are hesitant to buy one; just go for it! It’s fab 🥰

This heater is a real little power house, I use it in my lounge dinner, it raises the temperature to a very warm 19C in both rooms.Downside for me is there isn't an opening door with a glass front like a log burner, I feel this would add a little to it.3 hour burn time, small downside is having to let it go cold before you can safely refill, not a real problem and it does allow you the freedom of not needing a chimney.A side note is the first two uses there was a slight odour from it.

The media could not be loaded. Install and lit in seconds nice heat no odour after a few uses easy to fill with fuel and regulate the flame for up to 4 hours burn on 0.9 litres of fuel..our dog loves it as well!!!

This is amazing, well built and looks lush in my room. My living room is small and the heat it kicks out when the fluid has been input is like WOW I was sweating after an hour so had to open my door, I really am so shocked. I only have electricity where I live so this now helps me heat up much quicker and also I don't have to now keep my electric radiators on to help cut the cost down and the bonus that it's a real flame and just looks beautiful and calming is great too, so winning in every way

Very easy to use and is the perfect size for your living room or bedroom. The build quality is 5 star, very sturdy. Heats up the room wonderfully. Doesn’t omit any kind of smell when using high grade bioethanol. As long as your safe and adhere to the safety guidelines you’ll have no problem's with this fireplace.

The media could not be loaded. Having always wanted a log burner but never been in the position to have one. I found out about bio ethanol fires. So took the plunge and purchased the Homecom freestanding fire place. Delivery was excellent and the fire looks fantastic. Once I read the instructions set the fire up. It looks great and gives the effect of a real log burner. As long as you set up and light properly this is a very safe way of heating. To be honest wasn't expecting much heat, our lounge is not the biggest and warmed up within 30 mins. Cant be used as a primary source as not cost efficient but to run but for a cold evening this would be great. And if you have a power cut you can still be warm.
