After reading the comments on MANY other filters I hoped this would be a quality product. I haven't used it yet, but this thing is way better quality than I expected. Heavy bell housing rated to almost 300psi. All other parts are heavy brass (not light weight plastic painted gold like many other products). The seals and valves all seem to be heavy-duty quality. I'm much happier paying 50% more for a good quality product. Don't waste money on cheap light-weight crap.

This filter works good. The listing does not tell you, but it includes adapters to 3/4" MNPT (to fit your 3/4" FPT pipe, or washer hose ends). No need to buy more adapters. I bought them because the listing was unclear. Installed it on my new washing machine to avoid sand from the well, and it works good. A bit of a hassle to clean... when you open the bottom to drain through a 3/8" tubing, it pulls water from your home lines, so you cannot use any water anywhere in the house while this is flushing out. Not a big issue, but be aware of it.

This water filter saved my washing machine literally!! I live in the country and have well water , terrible terrible well water . This filter works so good for keeping the bad stuff out! I’ve only had it for one day so far but if anything changes I’ll be back to update my review! So far 10/10!

Bought two of these and the stainless screen ripped on both! A complete waste of money and time! Do not order

This filter was installed prior to the hose filter and hose timer. I installed it because I went through 2 hose filters in 3 weeks, these usually lasted me almost 2 months. It has been a month since I have installed this pre filter and it’s catching a lot of sediment that otherwise would hacve clogged my hose filter.

I bought it for my cabin/tiny house project, as a pre-filter. The filter head has a few sizes of threaded connections. If I noticed it would have saved me a few dollars, so definitely inspect it for your own use and decide how your installing it.There is a drain on it for minor sediment to be dumped with out having to disassemble and line for it. I would recommend installing a shut off valve on both sides so you don't bleed out all of the water lines if you take sediment bowl off.Update: 12 July 2023Okay I try not to make bad reviews or to just give 5 star ratings without justified reasons.So when I installed this I couldn't get it to stop leaking at the fittings I tried many times over and over with and without Teflon tape. Then I made the drive to box store with it to get more fittings. I tried a few more times. The threads were loose even with supplied ones. This thing has to hold up to water under normal pressures it didn’t with the one I got. At this point I've spent more on fittings than it cost. Removed it and set on shelf for some time, then I was soldering some other fittings and decided to just solder them on. So end result a dollar worth of silver soldering and no leaking at fittings. Next time I turn off water I will re-install it, for it's intended purpose.Would I recommend this? 🤔Yes if you can soldering it. The silicone washers /gaskets and with Teflon tape would not allow me to get a seal the fittings could not be tight against each other for good seal. Propane torch, silver solder and few minutes I got a seal.
