Tyres aren't rubber - more like a hard plastic which could slip on a hard floor like laminate or similar but not a problem for my needs. Apart from that, they are excellent value for money and very well made. Only mentioned the tyres because I think I read rubber in the description. Will be buying again for future trolley builds etc

Really tough wheel set. Very well made with very smooth wheel bearings.The locking mechanism works really well with nice big paddles for booted feet.

On the positive front I'm really pleased with the strength of these wheels, they function perfectly on my heavy wood storage cart, even when loaded with lots of wood.Two negatives though, the minor one was that one side of both the braked wheels was scratched when I took them out of the box. I thought they looked like they had already been used. The other side and the non-braked wheels were clean and perfect as I expected them to be.The other negative is more important; that only the two wheels with brakes can rotate. The two non braked wheels are fixed in position and do not rotate. The item description says that all the wheels rotate and the photos aren't clear.4 rotating wheels would have been much more useful, as it is, if you want to move sideways you have to pull the unit forward, turn it, push it backwards, etc. Like parking a car.If you can live with this limitation I recommend these wheels as they are very strong and a good price

Bought these to make a heavy duty trolly at work and was very unsure of the quality until they arrived and found they were far better than I expected, really sturdy and clearly well made to take the weight.
