It's a great little electric razor, just what you need.
I don't know what all the bad reviews are about, it works great for me.It's not meant for 1 or 2 day stubble, the hair needs to be a little bit longer. It's gotta have something to grab on to in order to cut properly. If you're impatient and want to go quickly, it won't work right for you. Take your time and ease it through. The head swivels up and down a little, don't go too far. Sometimes I'll hear a pop of some sorts, that tells me that I may have gone too far one way with the head. Take it easy and carefully use it, it's not a race. You can pretty much use it anywhere on you and I do mean anywhere. Face and sideburns, neck, under arms, chest, fuzz on the back, pubes, forearms; it works for me everywhere and it won't draw blood. It's not super powerful like some razors, it's just strong enough. It has a USB charger but no bulb at the end to plug into the wall so you'll need to borrow your apple or cell phone charger, that can take a USB plug. I've not used any of the attachments, I don't really have a need for them so I can't comment on those unfortunately. It's a great little electric razor that's perfect for manscaping.

A bit delicate but works for me.
I ordered the SOLO for two simple tasks; to trim stray hairs around my beard line, and to "preshave" my neck when I have not shaved for a while. If you are cursed with curly hair, you know that curly beard grows in either flat to the skin in some areas or curled down to touch the skin in others, and if you cut it too short it will grow sideways into the skin itself, resulting in ingrown hair bumps. Electric razors I've used generally do not cut my beard too short, but I have yet to find a conventional electric razor that does a good job of picking up and cutting the longer flat or down-curled hairs. If I "preshave" with the SOLO, then a regular electric razor will quickly and effectively pick up and cut the remaining short stubble, and the SOLO is extremely efficient for this preshave operation. And, if a "marginal but not really close" shave is all I need, then the SOLO can deliver that by itself. So, I'm happy with the performance, and the battery life appears excellent. My one concern is that the SOLO looks and feels fragile. I've been careful, and have not dropped or otherwise broken it yet. But I did order a second SOLO for our second location, rather than take the chance of carrying the first one back and forth. Handle it carefully, be very careful if/when you attach and detach the accessory combs, and if you travel with it, be extra careful to protect it from damage in transit. Overall, at $20 total cost for the first one and $15 total for the second, I feel mine have been good value.

Effective and convenient
I love this razor. I'm a woman, but I was looking to dodge the pink tax so this was the more economical choice. Takes care of any unwanted body hair. I've had it for a full 7 months and the blade is still strong. Side note, I also appreciated this razor when I was dealing with a skin rash due to an allergy. Keeping that area shaved without further irritation while my skin healed would not have been possible without this little tool.Update: I've had this razor for over a year, and am only having to buy replacement head because my 13 year old got ahold of it and ripped the head off "inspecting" it. I've noticed a lot of people complaining about its frailty and I called nonsense on that. You just can't be heavy-handed with this razor. I've also noticed people complaining about it cutting them, again you don't need to press the razor into your flesh it will just take off the hair with no pressure. I also noticed people complaining about not being able to shave a full beard. This razor is a trimmer and at most will do Edge work on your beard or even on your head. It is not meant to shave a full beard that hasn't been cut down with scissors.

Found the secret to making it work!
If this is the first review you read on this trimmer then you are in luck. I got this tip from another review I found on Google and it saved me from tossing this trimmer in the garbage.First, my initial impressions. I liked the price point of this trimmer, as well as how convenient it is for travel. It is pretty durable and well made for a $20 piece of plastic. However, it cut like crap! It wouldn’t trim a newborn’s peach fuzz let alone a man, or woman’s, body hair. So I mainly used it for touch ups after trimming with my much larger and more expensive clippers. I thought I had wasted my money like many reviewers scoring this low. But, on a hunch I looked up some more reviews on this device and came across one that caught my attention. The reviewer said he actually took apart the cutting head and noticed a heavy oil residue on the blade. He guessed they didn’t pay much attention to how much oil they put on the blades and just dipped and moved on. He used alcohol to strip the old oil off the blade and reapplied a light coat of his own oil/lubricant. Remarked that now the trimmer worked as intended! So I did the same thing...took apart the head, cleaned the blade in acetone instead of alcohol, and applied a light coat of lubricant. Instant difference! The trimmer cut through everything I tried it on. Trimmed my legs and chest with no hang ups or pinching, and rarely had to go over a spot twice. In summary: this thing works! You just need to do a little maintenance beforehand. But, for $20 this is a good trimmer.
