The best of six different ones I tried!
I tackled my bird feeding stations this year to eliminate squirrel access etc. I set one up for seed & suet feeders, one for the baby birds I had in a birdhouse and one up for hummingbirds. I ended up ordering a second of this one after trying SIX different brands? This one by far was the best! Very sturdy, the poles are threaded and screw together the hooks are expand out enough where your stuff is not hanging right against the post nor did the items blow off of the hooks. Revised: after it's been in the elements for a year it did not hold up real well it will not tighten now and it's not going to last through this coming winter.

Shockingly Good Quality!
I'm stunned. This thing was delivered yesterday, and I got around to opening it and assembling it this morning. Wow, for this price, I'm really impressed. It was in sturdy box, compactly packaged. Parts list/instructions on one easy sheet. All parts there----black metal, all of them, including the dishes, which I expected to be black plastic. Nope, steel, all of it, and what appears to be black powder coating. The threading on the pole sections is robust and deep, so the pole feels solid once it's together. It was super easy to assemble, and the spikes were long enough to get a good grip in the ground in my yard. We'll see if it stays upright, because the ground is a little soft, but so far, so good. It has a nice assortment of hangers, and the bowls/hangers can be oriented any way you'd like them to be. That brings me up to one little nitpicky criticism: The instructions, trying to be detailed, actually have you assemble it in a particular order that illustrates where the bowls go, where the smaller hooks go, where the larger hooks go, etc. I am careful when I assemble things and took that literally. Then I noticed that the illustrations/photos on the Amazon item description showed things in a different sequence, and one that made more sense for my yard/birds I attract. So in other words, just put the pole together and decide later where you want to slide the various pieces, and in what order. I should have figured that out as I was assembling it, but just went along with the instructions. Still, that is such a minor point----once I had it out in the yard, I just took the finial off, loosened and slid the pieces off, put them in the order I wanted them in, tightened them, and put the finial back on, which took maybe two minutes, probably less. And speaking of the finial---it's a solid piece of steel/iron, and heavy! Like I said, for the low price, the quality of the materials and workmanship shocks me. I noticed the black finish can scratch fairly easily, but I expect this to weather over the seasons----want it to have a sort of rustic look and for people who don't like that, it's black, very easy to touch up with a marker. This item is a total winner so far----and if I learn anything different about it, I will come back and update the review. I never heard of "Bolite" before, and assume it's just an overseas factory/business that took on an American sounding name. A lot of these companies come and go. But I sort of hope this one sticks around under this name. If Bolite can continue to deliver merchandise as good as this, at this price point, they'd be a go-to supplier/seller for me, and should be for others too.

Great idea, some errors in execution.
We have LOVED watching the birds come and go ever since we put this up. Our balcony is quite the bird hub.The assembly was easy to follow, however, one of the brackets was uneven on the inside, causing hindrance when trying to fit on the pole. It ended up scratching up the pole just to get it to fit on. Fortunately, I could just use it as the top one.Additionally, the mount is a little off. The pole doesn't line up with the twisting fastener so it's a little side heavy. Also, the circular part that is supposed to go up against the rail is a little too small so I had to use pieces of cardboard as a macgyvered washer since I didn't have any wood blocks on hand.Lastly, the basket is pretty light so when I went to check on it first thing the next morning, it was gone. It had been knocked off and fell to the ground. Fortunately, it didn't blow off anywhere far. I plan on maybe sewing it to the place holder.Other than minor design flaws, this has been money well spent.

Deck Version Also for Indoor Use
If you have indoor birds, the deck version is ALSO for you!The mesh one is PERFECT for their fruits and vegetables because it reduces the amount of moisture so they don't get gross as fast (my pea and soy bean fam know what I'm talking about), especially if your birds are the kind that like to chew frozen veggies. The pan version is great for their food because you can shake out the crumbs after you put some in.The bowl is obviously great for water.I just attached it to their little bird desk that has their food containers and they LOVE it. It's big enough that the 3 of them can comfortably eat together or be on different levels without disturbing each other.I'm getting a 2nd one so they can use it for birdie bathing...which they have recently decided they like to do when I first put it down haha. (Until Gerry jumps in with his food and then the other 2 give up.) I might get another one or 2 down the line and replace their food containers with these because my babies are kinda free-grazers in their room. Since everything they can eat out of they can't poop/get wet, they take their food to the wet, meaning that as long as the air and area are clean (we have pest control around the room, no problems with bugs), we can keep their food available for them and we switch out containers once a week as they run out. (We do the different Zupremes and keep them in separate containers so they can choose what they want throughout the day, and then when they run out we clean the containers and refill them when it becomes "it's week" to keep them from going full Seed haha). But some of them have more crumbs than the others. Since I have to pet vacuum the floor every day anyway, it would be kind of nice to have something thar would let the crumbs fall out as the birds go through the food.I haven't had any problems with the birds taking to it or hating it, and they like they can go flying at it full force to look me in the eyes and remind me of my place. (My fellow bird owners know what I mean 😂. ) I only have GCCs, though, so your results may vary. It's so easy to clean, too, and I haven't had any problems with chipping or scratching or rust over the last month. I love this thing and I'm glad I took a chance on it--for the price of one of these I could have 3 very tiny, plastic, hanging bowls that I'd have to replace every other month. This is going to be long-lasting, and even if I had to replace it after 6 months I still would save money. There is no lid and I don't know why it's a suggested topic for this.
