TiptonUniversal Bore Guide with 3 Muzzle Guides for Cleaning Rod Alignment and Firearm Cleaning

I bought this bore guide to protect the throat and bore of my 7mm Rem Mag rifles. The bore guide comes with 3 different sized universal tips requiring you to find the one that fits your rifle the best. The brass handle is screwed into a plastic ring that can move forward and back when the brass handle is loosened up. Once you get the bore guide set in place just slide the handle forward, turn it down into the bolt lock, and tighten the brass handle (acts as a set screw). The rear opening of the bore guide allows you to start a brush or patch before applying solvent or oil through the open window on the end. This is a nice feature to keep you from making a mess moving from a solvent bottle to the bore guide and also keeps you from dripping all over the action when you're inserting a brush.So far so good on the quality of this product. I figure for the price if I only get 3-5 years worth of use out of it then it has more than paid for itself and I will definitely buy another. The fact that it will protect the throat and bore of my rifles adds that much more value to this product.Pros: ease of use, value, does what it's supposed to do, covers a wide range of bolt action rifles

I use it for messy jobs. Bore scrubbing with paste is a dirty job. This keeps the paste in the barrel and out of the breech and action.The cleaning guide is mostly metal. Hopefully the plastic barrel inserts don’t split and fall apart in a few years. It does the job anddoesn’t appear to be junk.

So, I have the Dewey, but decided to try this one. Observations so far:- Construction: Steel and plastic. We'll see how the plastic holds up over time.- Price: Very competitive, but it's cheaper for a reason. Some parts are plastic.- Versatility: Universal, which is VERY nice. One guide rules them all!😁- Install/Use: This is where it gets a little tricky. They give you an alignment barrel for AR and bolt, but you might have to flip the bolt action barrel around to get it to work with your action's design. I had to flip it around to get the guide's stem to position correctly in the spot where my bolt handle goes. The opening for adding your bore cleaner is a nice size!Outside of the plastic parts, this is a great option. Still gets five stars from me and I would recommend it.

Worked well. 4 stars because it wobbles a little bit with aggressive scrubbing. It works well.

Kept mag area clean while cleaning my rifles. Very impressed after using a few times.

It does the job; what more can I say?

I don’t feel like this fit my CZ 457 Jaguar 22LR they way it should have. It didn’t reach the mouth of the chamber. Wouldn’t line up with it either. Also it’s too long for my rifle. After sliding my 36” cleaning rod into the chamber and down the barrel (28” barrel), the guide kept it from coming out the end of the barrel which meant I had to pull everything (tip and clothe) back through (in reverse) in order to remove the dirty clothe and continue. I ended up not using the guided at all because it wasn’t serving its purpose. Not happy about this product.I’m sure it works fine for other rifles, but not for my 22LR.Edit: works great with my Smith &Wesson M&P 15 Sport II.

This is a high quality product and is exactly as advertised. Good choice.
