Why is this so much cheaper than the handy viper (799.00) and do the poly brushes work well enough? or should i get metal? i have a steel chimney

I've seen a range of prices for the "Handy Viper" including the $799 that you mention, but that's at the very high end. The Wohler 9412 Viper L Viper, 50' Long that I had bought ranges from the low $400s to over $500. Currently I see it as follows, along with the choices of brushes: Wohler 9412 Viper L Viper, 50' Long $406.97; Chimney 44215 8 in. Poly Brush For Viper- For 6 in. Flue $46.12; Wohler Usa #1415 10 Inch Poly Brush For Viper For 8 Inch Flue $46.48. I have a 6 in. flue so I got the 8 in. brush for around the price listed. The Viper that I bought, at the low-end price, is the one that the professionals who had installed my chimney & stove have used for the past nine seasons. However, at $170 per cleaning with their Viper, plus hand brushing the stove pipe above the stove leading to the outer chimney, which takes them about 1/2 hour, I've decided that this year I will do this on my own. I would highly recommend that you buy the above items that I've listed along with the correct brush for your chimney size. While I haven't used this item as of yet, I do believe that this would be your best way to go. I too have a steel chimney & believe that the poly brush, regardless of which Viper you purchase, will be sufficient.

Worked great on chiminey flue. I would say yes it would work.

What size pollybrush do i use in a 7x11flu

9x13. You will have to buy a brush separately and an adaptor for the viper so the brush will screw on.
