Warning: hot nights a possibility.
I am sorry be different, but being a female adult, with not a shred of love for camping - though one adores the fresh air and nature - I love it. It's too novel on my bed, such roughage, such toughness, it reminds me of the quality wool 'dead weights' of my childhood, when mama used to tuck me in - lock me into position actually - under an 80's wool pastel floral thing with nondescript flowers all over it that weighed more than me. Drowned is always the sentiment I most recall. And the need to use the toilet, yet finding it impossible to move.OK, back to this, best part, it's not actually that rough! In fact, indeed, I find it smooth, barely scratchy, and utterly touch-feely.True, look closer, most will hate it. It looks like a mash up of material/fibres, like handmade paper. (55% other fibres, or something the label says). Most, will relegate it to camping use only. I adore it. It's super warm doubled up on my single bed, and it barely needs another layer to boost thickness/insulation (I use a 13.5 tog duvet too). But true, opened up onto a double bed I doubt it will be warm enough for most in winter without another layer. If it were me, I'd have another on top of me. Can you believe it weighs over a kilo? No, thought not.I mean, I've put ALL my other cheap acrylic throws into storage. Why bother folding and upholding these nightly when one of these rough beauties will suffice on my bed? (No wonder hotels have these on top of their sheets, one has always wondered why they shun duvets when one of these boosted by a quilt more than suffices.)Nor should I mention is it like wool, that is, having that mohair effect? That shedding horror, that eats into my lint roller like nothing else in my wardrobe. Horrid, one shudders at the the thought, leaving its particles of flying hair everywhere like dust.So there you go, a winning buy not for the faint hearted who want something pretty. The usual then.

Really cheap, tough & functional.
Warm and tough wearing ,maybe not as cossie as fleece, but it's wool so it'll insulate even when damp, and doesn't suck up mosture like fleece will. Once you've washed the starch out that its treated with ,it loses that scratchiness and is very comfortable to sleep with against skin.It passed the 7 months of homelessness test and is going strong.Wool is fire retardant also, so it's far safer to use near open fires during camping, rather than a sleeping bag.Large enough to sleep on and still cover you completely, but definitely not 'heavy' as its described, if you want heavy , buy two ,it'll still be cheaper than most others.100% recommended, it's very cheap..

Works well, but a bit heavy.
The blanket works well to keep you warm, but it's a bit heavy for travelling. The trade off is: This blanket takes up less space, but is heavier than a sleeping bag. A sleeping bag will take up more space, but will be lighter and keep you warmer (although the blanket is quite big. It can be doubled-up thickness-wise and will keep you quite warm in Spring and Summer. You might want to bring some thermals for Autumn (Fall). This product is best for those who want to save a bit of space. Be aware: The blanket will have a smell similar to mineral oil when new. This will wash out quite easily in the washing machine with some light detergent. The smell is NOT indicative of the blanket being warehoused improperly/treated with chemicals/etc. - it comes from the wool in the blanket and is completely natural. You will get this smell with all wool or wool-mix blankets which haven't been pre-washed.

Oh yes ! This is real old school blanket ! *****
Oh Yes!Finally got myself a proper OLD SCHOOL military blanket ! Like in the old days - wool makes it breathable, non stinky, windproof, warm , and of course really water resistant - saying that , resistant does not mean waterproof - but it can take a lot of wet and dries SUPER quick :)Recommended 100%Keep in mind - its heavy, for me its a good thing :)

Brilliant
Love the blanket. Best of both worlds, warmth and all the good stuff from wool combined with mixed fibres reduces weight, adds comfort and adds durability I imagine too. And the price is hard to beat. Mine got lost in post, with couple clicks I received the second one immediately, no fuss. Even though it wasn't their fault company stepped up to the plate. I'm one happy customer.

Nice size.bit dry clean only?
The blanket is 55% wool and of a good size. I am 5ft 10 and easily covers body. Thinkness is good to so is relatively warm BUT when the blanket rived from plastic bag strong chemical smell..to much to use straight away..washed in short cycle of washer and all the edges frayed..so bit sure how long will.last..bkankets of this nature and purpose should not be dry clean only...perhaps air dry only but will need to be washed regularly..especially if used whilst camping etc..so in my view not fit for purpose..hence the 3stars- described as military style- yes it is green but durability could be an issue..washed once 30c short cycle so we will see....

Sturdy made blanket
Just as you would expect it’s a sturdy wool blanket, not made for comfort as it can be itchy on bare skin but on a cool evening it does the job!

Good Quality
Great blanket, I have used it a couple of times and it is very warm, not sure why other reviews say it is scratchy, I find it ok. Some reviews say it is smelly, but it smells like a new wool blanket so ok by me.
