Perfect for petite people to attain correct seating position.
simple concept, easy to put together. |I am 4 foot 10 inches. With this footrest, I can now raise my chair to full height yet have my arm at the correct right angle to desk/mouse and not slump due to feet not reaching the floor. I already had a great lumbar support but on its own that hadn't fixed the slumping forward problem which was due to my feet not touching the floor and even when I lowered my chair so they did touch the floor, my arm was then not at the correct right angle to the desk surface. If you are my size, you will be familiar with this problem. The combination of the two ie lumbar and footrest is the perfect solution for the petite person at a standard desk. This footrest is simple but effective.

Does the job but has it's flaws.
It works as a simple foot rest.My flaw is that I use it to push my chair out when I am about to get up, my feet are on the stand naturally as it is in front of me but sometimes with pressure on the stand it has a snapping sound without a major amount of pressure. Hasn't fully broken but has lost durability. If you want a simple footrest it is fine but try not to push off from it.

A must buy, does wonders for comfort at tremendous value.
Not much to say, what you see is what you get. I have a great adjustable chair but something just didn't feel right having my feet flat on the ground. This footrest is a super bargain for the comfort it adds to your desk time.It basically has 3 adjustable settings. You can remove the piece that adjusts the height for lowest setting or you can move it to the back slow for amid setting. I alternatae between mid setting and removing the piece depending on how I'm tilting my chair. The only gripes I have but is that it's obviously made for footwear. I don't wear shoes indoors (I use this at home) because why on earth would you walk around wihtt your dirty shoes indoors.. I never understood that about UK / Ire :) So I kind of have to wear slippers which I don't normally wear but it's alright with just socks. Just not super comfortable. Also, the piece you remove to get lowest setting isn't exactly small so when you remove it's a bit of clutter.Anyhow I still give it 5/5 because I wasalready aware that it was meant for footwear and I think there's a version that is smooth with textile that cost more.As for durability, time will tell but who cares? It costs peanuts. I imagine as long as you don't kick it it'll last for years.I recommend this to ANYONE who sits at a desk frequently or infrequently. It's simply too cheap and great of a product to NOT purchase. In fact, I just had an idea. Found an old big textile mousepad that I taped onto it and voila. Comfort for you people in nations who don't wear shoes indoors :)

Simple but effective
Bought one of these as I was (like a lot of people at the moment) working from home using my dining table as a desk and found that my feet were too far off the ground once I had adjusted my chair for the height of the table (probably made worse by me being 5'6"). I had been using a box to put my feet on but this was not ideal as it was uncomfortable and slid about all over the place on my wood floor. So I ordered this as a cheap option to see if it was better and I have to say that it's made a huge difference to my comfort levels already. OK, so this is very simple to assemble and only has limited options in terms of angles for use, but it seems perfect to me and the rubber feet keep it nicely secure on my wood floor.Works for me, didn't cost a fortune and no complaints so it's 5 stars from me.

Why didn't i buy one sooner ?! (Solesaver)
Purchased this item to help improve my posture when on the computer. Picked this Kensington SoleSaver in particular as it appeared to be one of the latest model on Amazon.Contents:-Large plastic foot rest with 2 rubber feet attached at bottom base.-Plastic bar.-2x loose rubber ball/feet that slot into the plastic bar either side.Easy to setup & adjust: The separate plastic bar that comes loose, simply slots in/out by pushing/pulling in/out of 2 holes either end underneath, and has 2 different slots at different heights (with the bar attached).Does it's job: It's much more comfortable sitting at the computer with this foot rest, it helps align your body better when seated i.e posture.Made for wearing shoes in mind: The hard plastic & non-slip ridges across the footrest make wearing shoes/slippers a must, as it's not very comfortable without shoes, but bearable.Build quality is pretty good for the price, but not not perfect, so be aware that it has its limitations. Do not exert excessive downward pressure upon the foot rest when standing up for example, as it will snap/warp. This was my mistake multiple times from pure habit, and it took it's toll eventually by breaking/crackin. Totally my own fault, i knew the products limits. In conclusion, all things considered the build quality is pretty good for what you pay for with the Kensington SoleSaver. If you plan on sitting with your shoes off, then i'd suggest looking for a more comfortable option. Recommended.Update Jan/2016: Upgraded to the Solemate Plus after our Solesaver model breaking/cracking due to my own fault. The plus model is more sturdy and forgiving to my heavy footed style. Along with a few more flexibility features & the comfort increase was negligible though to be honest.
