I wanted to try an option that was less wasteful and more hygienic than disposable sponges so decided to give these a go. I've had them for 3 months and I've only used one so far. It does not shed or smell at all. I wash it in the dishwasher about once a week (not in the washing machine as the instructions state to wash it without fabric softener) and it still looks brand new. The silver side is more abrasive than a usual sponge and the colourful side is really soft, both of which are fine by me. It's slightly longer and thinner than a conventional sponge, which I also like. I use it in the kitchen for any items I cannot/will not put in the dishwasher (metallic, ceramic, wooden, glass) and it works great. I predominantly do the dishes with green soap, castille soap or vinegar and it's performed well with all of these.If you're going plastic-free I would not recommend those as they do seem to contain some plastic. However they last much longer and I've not had to replace one yet, so definitely helping towards creating less waste. Indeed they're more expensive than disposable sponges but if it means they don't end up in the trash for a long time, I'm happy with that.

Great for cleaning the dishes, and even survive a few runs through the washing machine to refresh them. I usually get about 3 weeks out of each sponge

I have been using these uper little sponges now for nearly 4 years. I have given one to each of my friends to try and all are converted and use them for every day. Wonderful and magic and my favourite one is the purple one. Well done Lakeland and well done Amazon for getting them delivered so quickly - you make a great team!

Have bought several packs of these. Decent quality. They don’t last forever as they work hard doing the cleaning.

These are a sustainable scrubbing pad as they can be machine washed. The silver side is non-scratch but has enough scouring strength to clean egg etc from pans. The sponge (coloured ) side produces a lot of foam with only a very small (pea-sized) squirt of washing up liquid (so again quite sustainable). They are also a great size to fit comfortably in the hand and able to reach to clean the bottom of a half pint glass.They are pricey but can last for months if you wash them so I dont mind the highish cost. Fun colours too (can we have a green and blue ones too please! 🧼)

Love these sponges, soft side for wipe clean and harder side for encrusted dishes. Last well. Great quality.
