It is a must to buy if you have Alienware Orion Laptop!
As Alienware laptops are quite big size and heavy you can 't put tem in usual backpacks. It really fits the 17" size, there are several other pockets to put your belongings in even safe for keys.I think it worth the money.

Great but have in mind some issues
This is a great bag.You all know from the various reviews and videos on the net everything about it,so i won't write about its durability, padding, compartments, etcYOU JUST HAVE IN MIND THE FOLLOWING:-This bag cannot stand upright on it's own.-The strap that keeps the computer in place, will leave a mark on the center of the laptop's lid (velcro fastener area) after a while,so protect the lid with a cloth or something like that.-Handle with care as the shoulder straps stiching is weak. This is the reason for giving 4 and not 5 stars. If you are OK with these, buy it and you won't be dissapointed as it is really "something else".

1) Fits a 17inch laptop comfortably. 2) The backpack was checkpoint Friendly i
I bought this particular backpack, as I have a company laptop, which happens to be a Dell 17inch laptop, and I was tired of the zips breaking on the standard company bag that they give us.So, even though the backpack, is a bit pricey, what attracted me to the Alienware Orion laptop backpack was;1) Fits a 17inch laptop comfortably.2) The backpack was checkpoint Friendly i.e. TSA compliant. The first requirement was met, but the second definately not.The compartment that the laptop fits into, the zips only go halfway down, so the the case cannot be fully opened as was shown in the photos by the seller. It means that at airport security, the laptop needs to taken out, rather than been left in the case, as was one of the main selling points.Suggest that if anyone buys this product from this particular seller, to check that requirement is met when ordering back-pack.I have given it 3 stars, because as a backpack, it does what I need it too, and even though it is not TSA compliant, which would of been great, its not the end of the world.Mr. M. Falls apart after very little use.'Checkpoint Friendly Laptop Bag, TSA compliant. Leave your laptop in the bag when passing through airport security checkpoints'I took over 20 flights with my laptop in this bag and not once was the laptop allowed to remain in the bag while going through security

Its a big bag
I have had this bag for just over a year and in that time it has been well used for shopping as well as carrying the laptop. I bought it because of owning an Alienware M17 laptop, I spend around 8 months of the year away from home and the laptop is for gaming, watching DVDs, listening to music as well as and writing etc. I tried several bags before relenting and getting this one, I didn't really want to spend so much on a bag, but it was the only one that would guarantee to fit the M17, which it does comfortably. After spending so much on it and it's ability to open fully whilst retaining the laptop specifically for (airport) security checks it was extremly annoying the first time I used it to be instructed to remove the monster from it's sleeve and put into a seperate tray, despite my explaining to the operative that it was unnecessary pointing to the wording 'Checkpoint Friendly' printed on the retaining sleeve. A subsequent occaision was far less painless to the extent I didn't even have to open the bag. It would have been better if the flap cover over the zip was also on the main compartment, which actually houses the laptop although the middle cmpt. can carry one aswell. One generally puts a bag down with the outer surface downwards and the straps and surface which goes against the back upermost. This means the Alienhead and the hard shell become scratched, scuffed, dented quite quickly which spoiles the look with time. The function of the outer plastic shell I don't understand and the two zip pockets either side are quite small for anything larger than timetables, maps etc. If the bag is fairly well loaded then getting into them is quite tight. Also when full the zip tends to bend making it tight to operate. The small foldaway drinks pouch is OK but will only accept slim bottles and not the fatter 500ml/litre bottles. When it is fully loaded it does pull on the shoulders and as it is designed for those of us that want to lug 17 inch monster laptops around it might have benifited from a waist strap to help support the weight on the hips. Notwithstanding the niggles I've mentioned it is functional, well made and takes the bigger laptops plus its cables and when not being used for it's main purpose will take a hefty amount of shopping. On the whole worth the money.

Fell apart!
I've had this bag for only 8 months and the straps are fraying and there is a hole in the bottom. I have to go back to my old Targus bag that lasted for 8 years of abuse with a laptop that was heavier than my Alienware (yes, that's possible). A bad, bad investment in a very expensive bag.
