Had the same Problem with running lights in one lite not working Switched DRL wire in fuse box to Vland recommend spot removing 10amp fuse plugged DRL wire in that spot removing from slot #36 in fuse box Once I did that both DRL worked maybe try it in your truck

Q: Just installed and they work great with the truck off but when started they flash then just go out and won’t work. Why?

Try adding a load resistor. Auto zone sells them. Since LEDs use less power the vehicles computer may be trying to measure the resistance of the halogen bulb if that's what was there before and cuts power when it's doesn't see the appropriate resistance.
