Great Boots
For some reason these boots (in size 9.5 only) were about half the price of the other sizes. You don't need to ask me twice to snap up a bargain like that - especially as they were exactly what I was looking for!Absolutely fantastic boots, the only downside is that they need a lot of wearing in, and even after having had them for some considerable time I still find them difficult to get on without a long-handle shoehorn.

First pair of docs after 29 years!
These boots are beautiful. After reading all the reviews re size, I took the plunge.I am a wide footed person and with wool socks on they are snug. So with a cotton sock will be perfect. Am a size 6 normally and a size 5.5 in Birkenstocks in case, like me, after reading all the reviews you wonder what the hell is going on with the sizing. I will wear my Winter socks with them to get them worn in.The cushioned soles are dreamy and dare I say it soulful. I’m a skinny jean wearer and they do not make my feet look like boats, or make me look like a skinhead or thug!It looks like Dr Martens have discontinued these as it says on their website, hence why they are going out of stock so quickly everywhere else you are like to look on t’internet. Why do they always do that? Just as you find the pair you are looking for!If unsure of sizing, by them anyway to try!

A Note on Sizing
I received these boots in perfect order and am very pleased with them, so this review is about sizing. I was a little surprised as the boots have a fairly big fit, they are very roomy for the stated size and perhaps for some may look little too big on the feet. So, as I live in London, I went to the DM store and asked if there was only one width / fitting for any DM boot. The woman in the store told me that there are NO width variations available in DM's, so you can ignore the sometimes quoted 'F' width as all DM's come in one width only.HOWEVER, very unusually for Dr Martens (and very annoyingly) this boot has two different 'fits' for the same 2976 product number. They are both the same width--they are built on the same sole, but one has slimmer more fitted cut in regards to the leather uppers. The boot above is the fuller cut. The only way to be sure is to look a the extended product code: you can find the number in item description above, here quoted as 11853600. The slimmer fit will end in 601, and you can see the difference if you go to that actual DM website, although there is no mention of the fitting difference on either Amazon or even the DM website! This should really be sorted out as they are quite different fits. For me these bigger ones are great work boots as I use them with two pairs of socks. They are plenty warm and work very well for job sites. I have now ordered a slimmer version for daily use as the fit is a little less chunky. I should say that the slimmer ones are still plenty comfortable and fit my normal shoe size, they just look and feel different. Horses for courses, hopefully that will clear a few things up for anyone else thinking of ordering a pair.

Dr. Marten's Unisex Original 2976 Boot
Dr. Marten's Unisex Original 2976 BootOK maybe a little early to comment on how long these boots last and perform as they have only just been delivered, so I will have to update later on this.BUT...My initial 5 star rating is based on:-1st class delivery service by DPD and the web tracking of the order was spot on. I ordered the boots at 16:00 yesterday and they were delivered at 09:53 this morning.I have a fairly average size 9 foot and the size 9 boot fits and is more comfortable "out of the box" than anything I have ever put on my feet before.I was expecting to have to break them in but to be honest I don't think that's going to be an issue.Locally I could only get the boots for £110 so the price here is around a 40% saving.Examination "out of the box" and the boots look and feel like you would expect of a well made premium product. All the stitching and the finish is sturdy, neat and flawless and the leather just beautiful. Not a single blemish or rough edge anywhere on the manufacture of the boot.I have seen several postings that the modern DM is not as resilient as the older UK made boots, but they are a premium product so I do expect them to last above average... so lets see.

Dr Marten's Dr Marten's Dr Marten's Boots....
Been wearing DR M's on and off since my teens. OK, they have been made in Thailand for the last few years, but still a nice comfortable fit...once worn in.This is my thried pair of Chelsea dealer boot....the 2nd pair were a Dr Marten clone type and not so good..teh sole split quick quickly. Now goen back to a true DM and loving themI don't wear them every day so these will last me as long as my first pair..5 years or so.At this price £66.00 it is a no brainer.Great service as usual from Amazon. I may treat my self to another style...I fancy some cherry red 1461s

DM's are the best
I use to wear some very nice and expensive leather shoes and boots 2-3 times the costs of these DM’s, very comfortable and well fitting, but hitting my umm higher 40’s I started to get very sore knee joints for no reason. It got so bad I thought I had arthritis as I couldn’t kneel down or stand up without pain.Long story short, desperate to try anything other than pills and surgery, it was suggested by a friend that perhaps it was the vibration of walking (hard soles) and the way I walked.Having been a DM fan in my not so distant youth and remembering how comfortable the Air Soles were I purchased these which are good enough for work as well as casual.3 months later my knee’s were normal, no pain no soreness. The more expensive shoes and boots are long gone and I have several pairs of DM shoes and boots and won’t buy any other brand now for work or general wear.Ive found that the sizing is consistent between them (I take a 9in DM’s and 9.5 in all other brands) so I recommend you check your size first to their published lists. The Air Soles are wonderful. So if you have knee problems for no discernible reason try these for a few months, they helped me.
