Finally got round to replacing my ancient picnic backpack and this is quite an upgrade.The main thing to note is that the central food compartment is cavernous, and managed to fit salad lunch for four plus 6 soft drink cans and some ice blocks. On the edges are two bottle bags, both insulated. I have to say that the whole lot stayed nice and cold until serving some 4 hours after packing on a day with ambient temperatures of about 30C - quite a feat !The picnic equipment (plates, cutlery and glasses) are all of very good quality - of special note is the cutlery which has good weight in the hand (and so, so much better than the set I had previously). The "rug" is too small to lie down on, but is an ideal size for laying out your picnic when sitting along side...The one downside I have found so far is that with the bag fully loaded with a bottle of cold white, some water and soft drinks is that the bag gets really quite heavy. I was happy carrying it for about 20 minutes from the car park into a busy airshow, but it was not the most comfortable backpack.I am not sure I would have enjoyed carrying it on a long hike, but I guess I did not buy this for that, and it will be ideal for a picnic pretty much anywhere that is not a few hours trek to get to.Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality and capacity of the bag, and I would certainly recommend it.

Like probably many others, we got this in the light of lockdown. That being said, I always wanted a picnic backpack, so it was a welcome excuse.The overall quality of the backpack itself is fine. It is actually slightly more comfortable to wear than I expected but obviously, the padding isn't designed for a long backpacking trip either. I really wanted the other VonShef version, which allows you to take out the cooler compartment and that has a removable cutlery roll, but could not justify the price difference (of ~£20 at the time). However, I am not 100% sure why these features could not have been included here.I used a price-tracker website to see how the prices for both models had changed since the beginning of lockdown and this one seemed to be one of the least-inflated models, too. While I'm annoyed by the lockdown price-surge, I also wanted a nice picnic backpack so here we are.The cutlery is okay, very sturdy but the edges are a little sharper than I would like. The plates and napkins are up to the task, I am sure they'll last as a long time, as will the cutting board. The bottle opener looks a little more fragile than other versions of this type that we have but so far, so good. I do anticipate that we will have to replace it at some point, though.The wine glasses are very much the cheap hard plastic kind. They would easily survive a couple of washes but they won't last too long either. Local by-laws mean we have replaced them with some stainless steel tumblers anyway but if you want to use something fancier, look into alternatives for long-term use.The cooler and bottle bag are great and keep things warm/cold as needed, no complaints there. I could see the insulation becoming damaged at the zipper-seams of the main compartment but only if the bag is packed beyond capacity - easily done but also easily avoidable.The blanket is quite nice and okay while we are in the city and countryside. I could see sand easily getting trapped in the fleece but haven't tried it on a beach yet.Overall, we are quite happy with the purchase.

Absolutely love this picnic set. Everything needed is inside, fair quality. Used it for the first time at the end of the summer and can’t wait for the weather to improve for a cooler autumn picnic. Very happy

Disappointed that one of the plastic cups was broken when I opened the bag, would be better to have an option to replace the item as apposed to returning entire product.

Bought this as a gift for some friends, so impressed with the quality and design. The picnic items inside are ideal and really make picnics easier.

Seems really good for a family of four. Lots of space to pack food and drinks. 2x bottle bags attached very useful. Picnic blanket is a bit on the small side, perhaps.
