I use 2mm mechanical pencils for writing. This one is heavier than the Versatil I've been using, but the grip and weight distribution is conductive to very comfortable handling. The build quality, fine mechanics and sleek look (and a good quality soft lead) makes the Rapid PRO 2.0 an excellent instrument .

After 3 years of us, I'm delighted to say that my experience with the rOtring Rapid Pro Mechanical Pencil has been nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I started using it, I could feel the quality and precision that rOtring is renowned for.The pencil's solid metal construction exudes durability and a professional feel. The weight is just right, providing a comfortable grip without being too heavy.The only negative is that I sometimes break the lead as I am heavy handed, but this has been my experience with every pencil I have ever used.If you're in search of a reliable, high-performance mechanical pencil, this one is definitely worth the investment. Highly recommended!

Simply put, this is the best mechanical pencil that Rotring make.I have both 'Rotring 600' and '800'. They certainly have their strengths; in many ways the former is superior to the latter despite costing half as much. However, the 'Rapid Pro' is a masterful synthesis of their best parts while adding several of its own. The lead sleeve is retractable. The construction is all but 100% metal. It has a very pleasing weight, solidity and balance. The grip is simply amazing, holding your fingers like sandpaper but not filing away your skin. However, what makes the 'Rapid Pro' truly stand out in my opinion is the 'cushion tip'. This was a feature that seemed to have been lost from the field of mechanical pencils for a long time, indeed since the demise of the 'Scripto' range and specifically their 'Cassette Pencil P1150C'. In the current day I have only found it present in the 'Faber-Castel Vario Fine' and the 'Rapid Pro'. However the excellent features of the first are totally sabotaged by such a terrible grip section it makes the entire pencil next to useless. In contrast the 'Rapid Pro' takes this feature and combines it with the best parts of the whole Rotring range to give a perfect whole.In summary; unless you are a collector striving for completion or so rich you can afford to waste your money ignore the '600' and '800'. Instead buy the 'Rapid Pro' which carries all of their strengths and none of their weaknesses.

The only thing that has changed in the past 4 years is the knurled grip on this pencil. A slight rusting in between the knurls thanks to my odd Ph. Other than that, this has served many uses, mainly technical drawing, a bit of sketching, I've used it to mark wood. It's been lovingly thrown into pockets and bags and still lives on. The retractable lead tube thing at the business end has ensured that the pencil has suffered no ill effects. If it broke tomorrow I would immediately buy another. For the amount of time I've enjoyed using it, it has been worth every penny.

This is a beautifully manufactured and finished product that promises many years of happy use. The Pro version is largely as advertised, although there is no built-in lead sharpener in the lid ( I think these might be supplied with the larger lead variants, but would be superfluous with smaller leads like the 0.5). The knurled grip is comfortable in use, the lead delivery system perfectly fine, and the overall look professional and slick (I bought the silver finish variant).So why the 4 stars? For me, it feels a bit of a vanity project. The metal Pentels are considerably cheaper, have a metal and cushioned grip, and are at least a match for the rotring ergonomically. The Pentel's arguably better in coming to hand intuitively when drafting or drawing. However, there is a pleasure in simply holding and looking at the Rotring when using it, in the knowledge that it will probably wear and weather better over time. It is more likely to become a sentimental heirloom or welcome friend over time.

El porta minas o lapicero tenias mis dudas en comprarlo por las reseñas que la parte del aro rojo es plástico y se podría trozar en 2, ahora que lo tengo en mano puedo decir 2 cosas el producto en mano es genial y no se siente nada frágil al usarlo. Lo uso principalmente para tomar notas.Tenia mis dudas porque no trae indicador de grado de dureza de la mina y por los comentarios o reseñas que había visto.Definitivamente es un gran producto, muy comodo para escritura, el grosor del agarre es intermedio entre un Pentel Graphgear 1000 y el Rotring 600, el pentel no lo siento tan comodo para escribir como este Rapid Pro, también tengo Staedtler, pero definitivamente me quedo con el Rotring por comodidad, además en mano se siente muy premium casi igual que el Rotring 800.Tal vez la comodidad sea algo relativo para cada persona, si eres de los que el grosor de un lápiz normal es comodo para escribir, entonces la marca rotring sera lo ideal, pero si te gusto algo mas grueso, un pentel o un staedtler sera la mejor opción.Por ultimo este Rapid Pro es pesado, tan pesado como un Rotring 800 o 600 esos 2 son los mas pesados que he tenido.Lo compre en 480 pesos, creo que es un excelente precio para compra.

This lead holder is probably one of the best lead/mechanical pencil I’ve own. The weight is good and feels nice in your hands. The grip feels nice when drawing and for extended use. I bought the black pencil and love the look of it. I know it’s a little pricey but the quality is amazing and you won’t have to keep buying cheaper lead holders and mechanical pencils that will add up to one of these. I love there are two ways to release the lead. One you can just hold down on the top and you the lead will be free to adjust to your liking. The other way is by just clicking on the top, it will gradually release a little bit of lead at a time. The top is also a sharpener if you are in a bind. I use a third party sharpener but the top sharpens and does its job. Overall a great product and if I could, I would purchase all the colors

Kalem gerçekten harika, tutuşu güzel elden kaymıyor, ağırlığı başkasına fazla gelebilir ama ben çok sevdim, uç kısmın yaylı olması ve ucun kırılmaması için içe girmesi de çok güzel...aslında bu kaliteyi bekliyordum...Rotring ile tanışmam 30 yıl öncesine gidiyor...kalitenin devam etmesi çok güzel...
