Great. safe & easy to use, heats up very quickly does homemade chips perrrfect 😋, good quality & sturdy size is good if you only have small space in your kitchen, easy to pickup and move as handles at eachside. Worth the money would recommend 😀

My first fryer laster years until I accidentally got the plug wet when cleaning.So this is my second purchase of the same fryer. Nice and simple, easy to clean and makes great chips.

I swapped to this style as the Tefal unit I has was impossible to clean. This one trades simplicity of cleaning for missing features such as hood filter, cool-touch sides and folding handle.To meet the price, the metal is incredibly flimsy, the sides and lid are one step-up from tinfoil. The lid didn't fit until I bent the tab to avoid hitting the heating element. The unit did heat up quite quickly, the elements are directly in the oil. There is a thermostat but no guidance in the instructions, for chips I went with the highest and that seemed OK. The basket and handle are robust and can be used to shake the items coming out the oil and hook the basket on the side.Note you can't raise or lower the basket with the lid closed and there's no seal on the lid so cooking smells just escape with the steam. If you keep the oil fresh, that limits the smell.All in all, it works and does come apart so everything bar the electrical control can be given a thorough clean in the dishwasher.

We looked at all different types of fryers, including the new style Air Fryers.However, we soon realised that all we really wanted was a good old fashioned frying device that would give us good old fashioned fried food on the odd occasion that we wanted it.This appears too good to be true at £25. It isn't, it does a quite brilliant job and the first chips and onion rings out of it were the best we've tasted in years. We've since tried fish, in both traditional cod fillet style and also some plain fish fingers. It has returned exceptional results every time.It is also very well designed and simple to operate. The handle, frying mesh compartment, inner heating element and control unit all come apart for ease of cleaning. It heats up quickly and the thin metal lid is handy if a little flimsy in feel. The unit isn't overly heavy and it stores away reasonably neatly, although we've chosen to keep ours in a cupboard in our garage because my wife doesn't like what she says is a lingering smell that all frying devices of the oil variety give.It is very difficult to fault it.

Well worth the money. Very happy with the purchase. Doesn’t take up too much room! Cooks lovely chips! Would definitely recommend almost the same price as a chip pan!!!!

I love this item the temperature control means you can fry anything from chips to mushrooms, there's a lot of steam for it so use the lid and ventilate the room, there's no leakage and it's so easy to clean and use.

The fryer is a nice clean design and would be easy to keep clean but unfortunately the food basket handle is very dangerous as it won't stay in place on the basket. I feel it is too dangerous as I have already burned myself fishing the basket out of the very hot oil. I am happy to change it for another make.
