Very handy item
I was renovating my deck and I thought this would be a helpful tool to have… it definitely was! It is large enough that you can easily see if your work is square. I’m certain it will be useful for other projects as well. It is also reasonably priced.

Quality Material & Craftmanship - Very Versatile - Good Price
As a Do-It-Yourselfer I do not need the most expensive tools, but I do not want junk either. This T-Square fulfills both of those needs. It is far from the most expensive T-Square available, but it is certainly not junk. Rather, it is a well-made and versatile tool. What I like about it…1) The aluminum alloy it is made of is rigid and solid, eliminating the chance of it bending while using it.2) It is a nice intermediate size, the blade being just under 16”. (But see below).3) The engraved scale lines are precise.4) The knob on the head of the square is large enough to easily grasp when it needs to be tightened or loosened.5) The angle scales on the head ensure, at a glance, that the angle you are wanting is the angle that the T-Square is set at.6) The head is held securely in place on the blade at each of the angle settings not only by the friction created by tightening the knob, but by the four nubs in the bottom of the blade engaging the appropriate divots on the top of the head as the knob is tightened. This ensures that the angle is exactly the same every time. (See pictures). (Also, see point 2 below noting a limitation of this).7) The head can be turned parallel with the blade allowing it to slide behind the blade and secured with the knob. This makes storing it more convenient and reduce the possibility of damaging the T-square.8) The control slider is easily adjusted along the length of the blade because the knurl it is both grooved and large enough to screw/unscrew with a finger and thumb.9) The wings of the control slider are tapered downward toward the blade ensuring an accurate measurement.10) The diameter of the shaft of the mechanical pencil that comes with the T-square fits perfectly into the control slider at a depth of about 1/2". This helps to stabilize the point of the lead at a right angle with the surface being marked and the lead is thick/heavy, able to write on both smooth and rough surfaces.11) The price is very good. But is it not perfect…1) While the engravings are accurate and precise, and generally easily read, there are times when the light reflects off the metallic red surface in such a way that makes reading the scales more difficult. This has not proven to be a big problem for me, but it should be noted.2) As noted in number 6 above, the angle between the head and the blade of the T-Square is secured in place by friction as the knob is tightened and the engagement of the nubs on the bottom of the blade with the divots of the top of the head. But that is only true if the square is being used with the head at the end of the blade. If the head is moved from the end of the blade to anywhere else along the length of the blade, the angle needed can still be quickly located by using the “Degree” engravings on the head and securing it by tightening the knob, but the added convenience of feeling the head and blade lock into place is gone. This too is not a problem for me. It just calls for more caution and awareness.3) The wings of the slider control are plastic as opposed to metal, making them more susceptible to damage such as cuts or even breakage, but this, too, is probably not much of a problem, just something to be aware of.4) The sellers advertise this T-square as 16”, and the blade is 16” overall, but because of the way the square is made, the longest measurement possible is about 14”, the other 2” is part of the head.5) There are no instructions, but figuring out how to use the square is not (or does not seem) difficult. In the overall sum of things, I believe the positives far outweigh the “not perfect” negatives that I made. This T-Square is a valuable and welcome addition to my toolchest. I recommend it.

Wow, very impressed by the quality and design of this T-square and scribing ruler.
This is a rugged and professional tool. One fantastic feature is that the perpendicular T-square portion can be rotated for angles and folded closed to add to a workbag or artist portfolio. That's so much more useful and practical. The workmanship seems flawless and it is a solid, thick, aluminum piece. The adjustable screw and the control slider are smooth, adjusting easily. The lead holder ("pencil") is great to have as part of this set too and it's a thick lead that won't break off with the slightest pressure. I am very pleasantly impressed and happy to have this professional tool. It is much better than I realized when I ordered.

Works well for the fixed angles marked
This marking ruler works well as both a T-square and an angle layout device. In fact, this tool can be used very much like a modern bevel gage, but with all the modern accouterments of laser engraved markings! The tool is made of heavy gage material and is well machined.I liked that the markings are easy to read and the different angles premanufactured into this tool are accurate. The angle presets are locked into place by 4 nubs below the ruler which then match the corresponding divots on the perpendicular fence. Twisting the knurled knob loosens or locks the two pieces together at the desired angle. There is also a layout knob that slides along the ruler's slot which you can use to lock at the desired length measurement but I'm not sure how this is used since no instructions came with this tool and the fence portion does not have a pivot hole with which you can then use to anchor this tool to use it as a compass/divider. I suppose you could just take off the T fence portion and use the end-hole of the slot as an anchor point but that hole is too big to easily act as an anchor point. One point I don't like is that the webpage for this tool advertises it as a 16" T-square. However, the rules on the ruler only go to 13.9" or so, with the rest of the length taken up by the T-fence at 1.97". Usually when a T-square is advertised as a certain length, that refers to the usable length of the ruler of the square, not the total length from top of the square to the end of the ruler. Since the ruled markings are only done for the length of the square that actually sits on the piece to be marked, which is 13.9", then you'll be frustrated/disappointed should you try to do layouts/markings in those last inches between 14 and 16".If they had included that small anchor point to the ruler for the divider function, been more forthcoming on the actual usable length and included some instructions about how to best use this tool, I would have made this a 5 star review.
