Oh I just love this. Yes it has sugar but you’re not going to eat a bagful I have a small piece each morning, ginger is very good for your immune system and if you have a bad cough just chew on a piece of this ginger .. it works magic.

Lovely soothing your throat, nice to chop into a hot lemon and honey drink, and good to suck/soothing your tummy nausea. Good value, obviously I love fresh ginger, but I'm stuck at home poorly, so this is a great alternative amd plenty in the bag.

After boiling up some truly naked ginger root shreds, I realized that ginger by itself is just a heat-- it doesn't really have flavour. The flavour we all associate with ginger is due to it being paired with sweeteners. So, yes, you want your ginger bits sweetened, and this company delivers that while trying to improve on the quality of those sweeteners. For my British hubby, these were 5 stars. I got them to help with his immune and digestive systems, bc ginger is awesome for both. It does indeed seem to help his heartburn, which is fantastic bc Nexium is a staple in our house and we'd love to minimise how often he uses it by finding better remedies. You Brits love things savory, but we Americans are obsessed with sugar, lol. So when I tried a bit of this fiery treat, I found it a bit too "naked" and fibrous to boot. I spit mine out in a bin... couldn't deal with that texture plus the zing. But ginger IS a fibrous root, so this company deserves high marks for delivering a quality product. I ended up getting a cheaper, sweeter version the next round, but hubby was disappointed and said he preferred the savory style. Since he's the one I got it for, I've just ordered him another pack of this product to surprise him with. I love it here in the UK and marvel at y'alls ability to conquer life without a constant influx of sugar. I'll be rooting for you on the sidelines with my bag of sugary treats. ;)
