This looks a good bit of kit and it is supposedly easy to fit, but it took my husband and my son a lot of sweating and swearing to get the supplied new spindles to fit, because the Patlock ones were 4cm longer than the ones in my existing door handles. With a lot of measuring (“measure twice, cut once!”) and marking, 2cm were cut from EACH end of the new spindle, with a hacksaw - NOT an easy or quick job! I don’t know how Patlock can say the spindle will fit standard patio doors - it’s enormous! Be prepared to have to cut it to size!Once that was done, with the aid of a YouTube tutorial video, which is much better than the one on here, the job was soon done.NOTE: I had only ONE handle so bought another so that I could use the Patlock. It’s there only for that and has no outside handle or other function. And my handles are slightly curved and the Patlock fits fine, as the Patlock description above says it will, on curved handles.

Well made, robust and easy to apply. I had seen the device before at a friend's and was impressed enough with the simplicity of the device that I fitted a handle to the adjacent patio door so I could use this method of extra security. In theory, if the window was smashed, it could be removed, as there is no additional key or padlock securing it. But, I preferred the idea of something that could be applied and removed easily. Compared to other devices, it looks good and offered value for money.
