Water softener
My mum always had sodium bicarb in the house - to take smells away (used in the fridge) and as a cleaner as well as water softener. You pay a lot for those branded softeners to use in washing machines yet this does the job for you and without any fancy frills. Good pricing packaging and delivery. Great stuff

1kg bag bicarbonate of soda food grade, good buy at reasonable price.
In France you can buy bicarb, food quality, from supermarkets in large quantities, one or two kilos.Back here in UK I can only find very small tubs.As I use it for dozens of different purposes, fridge deodorant, oven cleaning, carpetmpowder, the list is endless so tiny tubs are of no use.I am very glad to find an Amazon seller offering one kilo bags.

Good quality Bicarb
It is a good quality bicarb that arrives well packaged in plastic. A good price compared to the cost of buying it in the shops. Used for baking and cleaning.Make your own baking powder (better quality than the shop stuff) - 2 parts bicarb to 1 part cream of tartar. Make it fresh because it doesn't keep, and use a little less than the recipes state because the shop stuff also has fillers and preservatives.

good product for all round the house
Handy for a million jobs in the house.I sprinkle on the carpets and leave overnight to deodorise them.Freshen Your Mouth-Put one teaspoon in half a glass of water, swish and rinse.Clean the Oven- Sprinkle baking soda onto the bottom of the oven. Spray with water to dampen the baking soda. Let sit overnight and then clean.I put in the bin - Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of your bin to keep stinky smells at bay.I also put a scoop in my washing machine as it had a funny smell, thats now gone and it makes the clothes much cleaner.

Brilliant stuff
It came well packaged in a plastic bag and the powder was dry and fine with no lumps. It's over a pound cheaper at the moment than half the quantity in my local supermarkets. It's perfect for my uses: cleaning and laundry etc around the home. I'm finding so many uses for it that I've already ordered the 2KG bag. 1 teaspoon of this in the bottom of my dishwasher and I no longer ever have anything coming out in a condition other than sparkling, even with horribly baked on stuff on a 30 minute wash. It makes a definite difference. Just don't use it with aluminium unless you're trying to clean silver, in which case it's great for that too.
