Arabic Poetry: A Primer for Students

When texts are ancient, but "classical", it may not be possible just to pluck them off the shelf and read away. In such cases, heavy supporting material is needed, and provided here. This is an anthology og Arabic poetry, with a parallel translation. I (almost) despair of understanding Arabic metre, but the introduction here has brought me closer to understanding, if not always knowing. Could be of interest to readers ranging from zero knowledge of Arabic to really quite advanced.
